  1. siegrist would be between posts if he was not injured. from what i have heard on radio WM last night: 1. spurned a lot of clear chances 2. some offsides (goals) debatable at least 3. shaky defence but with 16 yo talent in it (Webb i suppose) 4. great wing play (Burke?, Graham, Grealish) 5. Gardner dominating and 6. Johnson rotates great moments with poor one. 7. a monster named Sy in Marseille goal 8. non stop laughing on opps acting
  2. Why do people still think Craig Gardner is any good? when he was here he was at best an ordinary player with little vision or skill. His brother Gary however is a real talent with great potential. Because he has progressed to be one of the better MCs in PL playing for relegated shitties with stats of 37 matches and 10 goals whole last season. This season is 17/3 at all which is not bad regarding he is in new team and learning different style of play.
  3. Julie, are you able to send me a link to this radio? thank you in advance. edit: i have just got it now. big chance for marseille.
  4. Is anybody able to stream it (i.e. vlc)?
  5. like victor moses did last weekend whole match, shame it was against one of the slowest full backs in PL - luke young. it looks good and easy against slow turtles, but it is very rare situation of success these days in PL. he can try it against bosingwa or cole and i can guarantee you, he will not get any chance.
  6. I still firmly believe he will be our main striker together with Gabby in near future. Do not dispose him. Good talent.
  7. clark is too slow for being a left back, reality is not FM. he would be a good CB, but imho his best position is DMC as he is tall, good on the ball, can pass the ball etc. very similar to gary cahill at CB (and i do not rate gc too high - overrated).
  8. marc is not so quick and lacks energy because he tends to lose it unnecessarily in blind headless runs. he needs to calm down and think when and what is the best option to do in different situations. imho his best position should be on the left wing, quick trick and shoot with right foot or deliver an inswinging deadly cross. miroslav stoch had same problems as marc and now after rethinking he is doing wonders on the left wing and right foot screamers in turkish league for fenerbahce, just check him if you want. same energetic player in similar age as marc.
  9. I like his broad vision and passing execution skill, good movement and seems he does not run blindly like headless chicken as Marc tends to do. This attribute is very rare in his age and the main reason he is possible to arrive into the area at the right time. These are my first impressions after his full senior debut. Keep the good work young Gardner, may the force be with you.
  10. its been the same story for the last 10 years awful passing and absolutely no movement. there's got to be something wrong behind the scenes, too many managers with too many different players have had the same issue. its time to fire some of the training staff the complete lack of movement when we got the ball is intriguing. horrible.
  11. wtf are Villa players doing in the training??? they do not know how to pass for few yards omg.
  12. You might be surprised, but he is not only underrated but also creative player. Look at our first goal at Bolton, he passed the through ball between two Bolton players just perfectly into the run of Gabby to assisst Marc in his goal. And a bonus might be (I am not sure of it) that Herd possibly won the ball from opposition just right before his superb pass. Didn't see the game just the highlights and not really well. Just noticed that Gabby again put the cross in for our first goal and that Petrovs was a deflection. But it pleases me to hear. I didn't mean that he can't be creative, just that I want to see more from him on that part. It is possible imho, that this will come with more experience gained through more games played. I can see him as a natural replacement for Petrov. And there is a lot to learn from Stan, i.e. his profesionalism and determination.
  13. When he lost the ball, he is just immediately trying to recover it. That is called determination, hard- and team-working.
  14. His goals will come in the right time just when they will be needed. Robinson's deflection last game was very very lucky, as was Jussi's save. Rooney would not score in the same time and same position too.
  15. Chris Herd reminds me lot Bret Emerton, strong, agile and never-say-die attitude. Remembering Chris headbutt into the post - he needed only few minutes to be in full form running again like as nothing happened
  17. I will repeat myself, as he is very wee man, he needs to play AMC behind Benty, in front of at least two strong midfielders who know how to defend (This was probably the reason why MON did not rate him). Short balls to his feet and he will feed Bent for goals. Mark my words. Our most creative player right now. But playing him in two man midfield is a suicide. There were rumours that he is best technicaly skilled player in current squad, so the instructions would be very simple for him. Beat your player, be adventurous and feed Bent. I am sure with his positional play that Petrov and Herd know how to deliver the ball to his feet. Something like this: ------------Bent------------ Gabby--Bannan--Nzogbia ------Petrov---Herd-------
  18. Bring Dr. Jo(zef Vengloš) back please. I have given AMc enough time to prove himself valuable, but his team has lost all the battling spirits and there is even no plan A. Tough times in front of Villa. Boring, boring...
  19. Look at it this way: We have three similar players for one spot - AttackingMC behind striker(s) - Ireland, Bannan and Delph. Ireland should not play MC beacuase he is not tracking back his players and poor tackling. Bannan is so small for MC that he needs to be higher up the pitch on the AMC, he can not head the ball. Delph is so small and has poor tackling. All above should play only as AMC in front of two from Herd, Petrov or Jenas. Simple as that. My current preferred order is: 1. Bannan, 2. Ireland 3. Delph
  20. I am fully behind Herd. First two names on the first XI should be Gabby and Herd in these days. I was bored of general play last match so I watched how many times Herd took over the ball from opposition. He was very successful doing this job. And to be honest, he was still one of our most creative players on the pitch (!!!) until Bannan stepped in.
  21. Best Villa players 1st half: Gabby Herd Warnock Poor Villa players 1st half: Delph Heskey Nzogbia
  22. Too much positional errors and stupid fouls maker. he can make a goal in our net out from nothing. hutton seems to be the same "class" recently.
