  1. I haven't been this nervous about not owning a player in a long time. KDB could destroy me this evening. Everyone seems to own him. Hopefully those people sold Foden and he does the biz for me.
  2. Yeah, condescending, and thinks she's a lot funnier than she is. On the rare occasions when I've bothered watching Only Connect, her attempts at humour give me terrible 2nd hand embarrassment for her. She seems completely void of a genuine personality.
  3. I just cannot take to that woman.
  4. Proof that there's hope for the Middle East.
  5. Was this rival fans on twitter by any chance?
  6. I've brought him in but I won't be captaining him. That's a step too far. Don't think I'll go with KDB this week, and I hope that doesn't bite me.
  7. I see that. You had Son & Salah up to this week you mad ****
  8. I'm starting both of them and it's Luiz I'm benching, and even then I'm nervous he could do something at home to Newcastle. He seems far better playing at home.
  9. Yeah I think, given the fixtures, it's Solanke or Palmer. It can't be any of the others. I don't expect Palmer to do much in Anfield but then the last time I benched him he got 18pts.
  10. If he starts, you have to have him. If he doesn't start, he might get half an hour against a tired Burnley. Either way he could hurt you. The latter means Alvarez might still do well so he's not a dead loss. It's a tricky one. But it wouldn't surprise me if Pep throws him straight in. For me KDB is the bigger noodle scratcher. I could easily do both this week for a -4 if I sell Saka but he has Forest. Oh to own a time machine.
  11. Weekend's stats updated. Katsukunya finds his way into the u21 league squad for the 1st time and actually starts a game. This was our youngest first 11 of the season, so with that in mind I think we can say they did very well away to the best team in the division. Next we have our little run of 3 home fixtures. This Friday home to Swansea in the Premier League Cup. Then next Friday home to 22nd placed Everton in the league. Finally we host Middlesbrough the Friday after that. All Bodymoor and all 7pm kickoffs.

    U.S. Politics

Well that's not very American or capitalist at all. Sell, sell, sell.
  13. I hope he moves to Angers. That way we can all say Morgan "Don't Look Back In Angers".
  14. Full programme of matches on over the weekend.

    Liverpool

He told them in November. Nothing wrong with the timing.
  16. Just to clarify. The players in the national team will by and large be posh boys yes. My response was to the "normal people don't give a flying ****" and "the average man literally couldn't care less about rugby as it's only toffs that play it". They very much do.
  17. While the demographic probably leans towards posh in and around Dublin, I can assure you the country very much does care about rugby a great deal. I'm not its biggest fan myself, but I'm in the minority. People go absolutely mad for it over here. Following the provinces (Leinster, Munster, Ulster & Connacht) is as fervent as following the national side. Sometimes moreso. As a football fan, I'd say there could be a case made that we're a rugby nation. Rugby tends to attract a much bigger female following too, which is not insignificant in itself.

So VISA CashApp RB has been confirmed. Already being referred to as V-CARB.
  19. I think they know all eyes wil be on the valuation of deals. I think I have more issue with the ease with which they can make the deals happen. Need a quick £10m? Here, flog this fella to that lot. No need to inflate the valuation and get the microscopes focussed on you. Just sell at top end valution but be able to do it much more quickly than anyone else would be able to. That, in itself, is an advantage. But very difficult to prove it's been greenlit for those particular reasons. Basically a glorified ATM.
  20. As much as I'm desperate to stick the bonesaw into Newcastle for shady dealings (and boy am I !!), I don't think £25m for a 29 year old coming off that performance last season is particularly outrageous. It might be heading towards the top end of his valuation, but I don't think this is really the slamdunk that's gonna do them in.
  21. Meh, they do it in rugby with the Lions, which is probably just 1 big piss-up as well
  22. Hull City victory stats updated. A very interesting squad yesterday containing 4 names completely new to the U21 squad this season. Unai's son, Lander Emery was goalkeeping sub. Theo (TJ) Carroll was an unused midfield sub and midfielder George Hemmings came on in the game to make his u21 debut. Thierry Katsukunya started the game in his first matchday squad. As well as those 4 we had goal machine Rory Wilson making his first start, Charlie Pavey making only his 2nd substitute appearance of the season and second matchday squad. Jamaldeen Jimoh making his first start and second appearance, and Chisom Afoka returning to the team for the first time since August having been on loan at Bradford City. Next up is the daunting task of an away trip to Tottenham Hotspur's Lamex stadium this Saturday (27th) at 1pm. Spurs are top of the league so far this season with a 100% record. 10 wins from 10 with 4 of those coming at home from 13 goals scored and 3 conceded. It remains to be seen how decimated our side will be after the loan market is closed. But at least we seem to have goals in the side even when we use the less experienced players. Also, postponed Stoke City game has been re-scheduled for February 23rd which means after Spurs we will have 4 consecutive home games including the PL Cup tie with Swansea City ... which is nice.
  23. Interesting lineup. Inexperienced but fun.
