    Atmosphere seemed ok at first then quickly went downhill once the players for some reason or another looked half arsed after go 1 down. There were moments in second half where it got better but that coincided with a decent spell for us although the game was gone by this point .

    40,013 full capacity would have been slightly less than usual because of the first few rows upper north netted off . The ground looked pretty full apart from hospitality areas .

    That’s the thing I’ve always been glad I wasn’t 6ft hence why I’d say 5”11. If you were tall as a kid you were called lanky, I think that’s where it’s come from not wanting to be 6ft .

    When my grandad used to tell me off for whatever reason I’d support Southampton to try and annoy him. He hated playing them especially away because we always got beat down there. This was early 90s going back into the 80s also.

    The Arsenal final the other year was infuriating. Having played so well against Liverpool to not turn up in the final was shameful. Honestly thought that was our year.

    The old excuse of “well give us something to sing about” well Villa did when we went on that unbelievable home run , and it was still shit most of time. No doubt the same at most grounds but yeah it’s pretty shit at Villa majority of the time.

    Totally agree Mike, it’s one of the best anthems out there. It doesn’t conjure up the tearful emotions like YNWA but it’s a great anthem

    YNWA full pelt by The Kop is a sight to behold. It gives me goosebumps and if I was a Liverpool fan I’d almost certainly be in tears singing it on big nights.

    Nah, very disappointing if that was the case purely because of how long we’ve been contesting top 4 this season. I mean we are still only 5 points off the top. To finish 7th and be ok with it we’d have to win a trophy too which is only the conference league(wish they would get a new name ) achievable now. At the start of the season with the injuries we had, yes 7th would have been good but we’ve found out we are better than that .

    Thing is I’ve never wanted to be 6ft so was always happy to say 5’11. An old flame I was talking to the other month mentioned my lad was tall , and then said he doesn’t get it from you dies he, which I found strange at the time, but now I know why.

    Been telling everyone for years I’m 5’11 which I thought I was and maybe I was. Turns out yesterday I’m 5’9 .
