  1. He is unplayable this year. I may have got the context slightly wrong though.
  2. I'd assume that as he abbreviates to CND that he does not have an Atomic Strike?
  3. Everything about this is so sad. A wonderful footballer who played the game with great joy and skill. The circumstances of his death sound just awful, it is so hard to imagine the player I remember ever needing to be treated the way he has been.
  4. That actually inspired me a little bit. I'm going to have to science the sh1t out of it.
  5. I made a HUGE mistake last night. I found a crashed ship that was a significant upgrade on mine, but it needed a decent amount of repairs. In my excitement I accepted it without transferring anything from my old ship and I'm on a planet with radiation so bad if fries you in a couple of minutes. I think I'm boned. I was so annoyed with myself that I have not tried to get out of the situation yet, I just turned off my PS4. Will see what I can do about it tonight.....
  6. And that performance is why you drop Micah Richards.
  7. He's not going anywhere because no one will have him and he does not have the imagination or the plums to deal with life outside of AVFC. Never mind VTID, he isn't even Villa now, he wasn't Villa last season, he is a parasite on the club. Being a professional football player is so much more than looking good with your top off. The rhetoric from the club is that attitude comes first and there is no amount of working out that can make Gabby a good influence around the club. He is in the right place in the photo, not because he is getting fit, not because he is in his living room rather than spreading his attitude across the rest of the squad, but because he is on his bike.
  8. To properly sum up my feelings around AW I have had to try and imagine what it feels like to be a fan of another club. I then try and finish the following sentence: "Oh no, Ashley Westwood is playing for Villa today, that will hurt us because..." The only answer I can come up with is: "they will have to play 2 other people in midfield which may congest the middle of the pitch" I would be very interested if any of you can do any better?
  9. Here it is, congratulations. (don't drop it)
  10. Yeah, the weird thing is that he isn't just saying it. He is already doing things to try and make it a reality. I agree that stating that in 5 years that he wants us to be the top club in Europe with Man U spending more on one player this summer than our entire club is worth is a big ask, but if you aim for the stars you can miss and still end up with the moon.
  11. You can get professional help to stop you making puns about stairs. It is a three step programme.
  12. Gabby is the only one I would consider paying off to get rid this summer. I'm not sure how this has happened, but his influence at the club seems to have grown many factors beyond his ability to perform, to inspire or to lead. He has set the bar very low for what constitutes professional behavior at the club and his example set on and off the pitch last year was appalling. The chances of him making a positive contribution this year are pretty small and I think are rather heavily outweighed by the risk of him being a bad influence on the group. He is certainly not going to be first choice so I hate to think what he might get up to when he realises that he won't really have to be match fit as most of the time he won't get a game. A little bit of motivation in pre season does not mean he can sustain it over 48 games whilst largely being on the periphery and my money is firmly on him getting unmotivated real fast and falling back into old habits. I'd rather get rid now rather than have to deal with him mid season spreading his unique brand of team bonding. The reason why I think we may have to pay him off and not others is that I cannot see anyone wanting to buy him and I don't see Gabby leaving under his own steam. Even as a free agent I struggle to think of a club that will meet his salary expectations and be a place that Gabby would be willing to go and I don't see Gabby being prepared to take a big pay cut to keep playing for a significantly smaller team. In short I see his only future as a football player at Villa where he won't get a game, when he is finished here even at his relatively young age I think he is finished in the professional game. Pay him off, stick him on gardening leave, or let him go on a free (if anyone will have him), just don't let him be around the squad (senior or junior)
  13. The snake tweet is the first one I have any worries about if only because it clearly refers to two current players as snakes. It isn't even very hard to work out who he is referring to. This sort of thing can result in legal action against the club from the players. It is not likely to, but it is ill judged. I don't mind him sounding like a fan and having an opinion, but saying stuff like that about your employees in public is silly.
  14. Mid table until January, we then sign a few more decent players and push up into the playoff places.
  15. I was just on the Guardian football page and saw the Premier League season preview and next to it was a picture of a few players in claret and blue. I had all but clicked on it when I realised it was Burnley. Sodding Burnley. A whole division above us. There is a glitch in the matrix, can someone please turn up with the red pill so I can get into the real world.
  16. First up thank you for reminding me to login to AVTV and take a look at the game, I hadn't noticed the time. In related news thanks very much for giving me that little moment of despair. For my money Bacuna is at his least bad at full back, the idea of him playing further forward this season makes me feel ill. (I do know he has an assist today, but the sun even shines on a dogs arse some days)
  17. He needs to earn another chance from me. Last season I was thoroughly fed up with him and there is nothing he can say that will change my attitude. If by some miracle he has had a total reversal in form, application, and professionalism and he can display it on a regular basis then maybe I will allow him to win me over. It is a big ask though as my biggest problem with him is that I just don't think he is very good at football.
  18. There is a chance he may be better in his second season in the UK, but I'm not that worried about loosing him. We played most of last season with him as part of a 3 man central mid partnership and teams could stroll through us like no one was there at all. Any combination of Gana, Westwood, Veretout and Sanchez ended up playing like muck and we could sell them all without me giving a stuff. Obviously he needs replacing as he did at least manage to be a warm body in a shirt last season, but I'm happy enough to take a punt on the unknown that slog through more of the same.
  19. I hear with Ravels that you get a mixed bag.
  20. Gutted. After a season of Leicester fairy tales it is such a shame that we don't get our own. that said I would only ever want him there on merit and I'm sure as a proud pro that Stan would want that too. I really hope he remains as part of he club though, I can feel the good vibes he brings from here and would hate for that to end.
  21. I had to scroll back up to the top of the page to check I hadn't clicked on he wrong thread. This is the Richards thread right?
  22. It's pretty simple really. The average height of a teenager is around five feet four inches. You multiply that by eleven and you get about fifty eight and a half feet, which is one and a quarter double decker busses or the height of a Hutton cross. See. Simple
