My problem with this argument is the idea that Pearson was a ball buster at Leicester. He didn't go in there and transform the bad attitude players by throwing his weight around. What he did was exactly what you say you want to happen, he got rid of the trouble makers. He actually got a fair bit of flack from the fans because some of the people with bad attitudes were considered the more talented and the people he brought in with better attitudes were unknown or considered less capable. One of his main priorities was creating a strong team ethic and anyone who wasn't on board was ditched regardless of reputation or talent. I'm not denying that he thinks of himself as a bit of a tough guy, and if all you look at is the surface then this is all you will see. However if you look at what he actually did beyond the headlines and soundbites he stops looking like a mindless sergeant major and more like the sort of man we need now. All that said my first choice is Moyes, but I shall not be devastated if Pearson comes in.
