  1. Bruce will be a legend if he gets us promoted. (Oh my what have I gone and said!)

Looks like the end game is nearing, Trumps rather obvious pals have cooked up, wait for it, a MEMO!!!! A memo of 'ALLEGATIONS' - that will nuke the Mueller probe. But they can't release it because the democrats (with no power to do so AT ALL) are holding it back. It's big, and its very very desperate - so expect something even bigger in the opposite direction shortly!
  3. It's simples, if our destiny is promotion then tomorrow we will see Barnsley put to the sword convincingly. Honestly think it'll be a comfortable 2-0, possibly more. Our lot have had a steep learning curve and I sense they have a desire to win now, next time we lose it will be because a better team beat us, but that won't be often as the standard in this league is quite poor. OR - Whelan spoons it past Johnstone and we lose 0-1 triggering a spectacular loss of confidence and SHA overtake us in the final week.
  4. Yarp Former Newcastle managers Steve McClaren (50/1), Joe Kinnear (50/1), Alan Shearer (50/1) and John Carver (60/1), make the list, as do former Sunderland bosses Steve Bruce (33/1), Roy Keane (50/1) and Paolo Di Canio (100/1). https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/odds-next-newcastle-manager-offer-14169313
  5. Agreed, we've been in this position before and overconfidence/carelessness has cost us - I don't think they'll let that happen again.
  6. They haven’t enough time to fund the window, loans only apparently. Without the window they will need a miracle to stay up, Rafa or no Rafa. And no way would a buyer come in with big money with that looming, Ashley would rather take the 100mill tv cash and start again.
  7. It’s just confidence, that move away from us ruined him. We’d get him feeling loved, we’d nourish him romantically.
  8. Oh good - we can go get Rafa when we get promoted and give him lots of money to make us a force. that would be so sweet.
  9. Benteke? Palace would need to sign someone first, which is not impossible, but we'd never cover the wages. The only way he comes in is if we see something like the sale of Green and one or two others moved on but I suppose Thor and Elphick could go or we get actual money for Ross so it's on the outer most rim of 'possible' I suppose.
  10. I think slipping in then pulling away at the climax are generally sound tactics.
  11. And to prove this - Sunderland. We may not have fully appreciated just how bad it could have been.
  12. Impossible, I don't think we can loan Januzaj's head AND Axel Tuanzebe. Anyone know?
  13. Whelan is 34, injuries are likely. Thor looked good yesterday but there were reports he’s off to Seria A in jan. Axel seems like a versatile defensive young stand-in for a few positions.
  14. Being moderate I have us finishing on 84 points, winning 11 of our 19 remaining games, drawing 4, losing 4. It could be very close at the end.
  15. I meant manager too when I said overhaul - we'd need a premier league squad and we'd be able to attract a premier league manager. Dependent on what happens at noocastle but rafa even. Ah - misread yer - well if we get beat in the play-off final I tink he'd probably be the best bet next year too in terms of stability.
  16. I think by now that Bruce knows what he is good at - the championship. I can see the case for keeping him next season, should we go up, but really this team is mostly loans and some players at the end of their contracts. We go up and it'll be a total overhaul, fail to go up then I think he'll stay put and renew the likes of Terry and Snodgrass if finances allow.
  17. Has been a little inconsistent this season, albeit so had everyone else, but seems very focused and fighting fit - gonna have a big say in our promotion push.
  18. Given we're doing good right now, adding Ulloa is going to be filthy.
  19. 3 wins, 3 clean sheets, 7 scored. Pretty good 2018 so far! (slash end of 2017).
