  1. In the league, he got 4 assists. One fewer than Bacuna, who I still don't think is good enough to be a first teamer. He scored 8 goals, which is respectable but still not enough for me to want to sign him - he's a clogger.
  2. Being ruthless is one thing but it's absolutely devastating if the decisions made are bad.
  3. Jonathan Walters? ffs. I think I'd end it all if we signed him. Effing useless. (just to clarify, this was in response to a suggestion on the last page and we haven't actually been linked with him, so don't panic)
  4. We're going to lose one of our eat players to fund this venture, I'd guess. I see the logic in having a shakeup but I'm not sure I trust someone as inexperienced as Tim to do it. If we sell Benteke to fund his vision, and he gets it wrong - we're left with another shit squad minus Benteke. I'm not joking when i say I'd take Allardyce in now.
  5. I'd say we've got a good chance of keeping him because he seems happy and settled, there's the Euros next year and he'll definitely be a part of the Belgian team if he isn't injured (whereas if he moves, it'll put it at risk) and his agent is unusually quiet.
  6. Looking at Arsenal's attacking options - I'd definitely give him the nod for the final, we need some defensive solidity and we need to hit them on the counter.
  7. Richardson will get absolutely bummed by them if he doesn't have some protection.
  8. Yeah, this is the point really - Westwood was a gamble that paid off but we shouldn't be looking to gamble at all this time.
  9. I can't remember 6 so far this season, so I guess I'd start him Saturday ☺ Haha well yeah, this is the thing isn't it? He could turn up and wreak havoc on Arsenal's defence - alternatively, he could be a massive liability.
  10. That's not saying much - there are about 4 good teams in the division (Dynamo, Shakhtar, Dnipro and Metalist Kharkiv), the rest are really poor.
  11. That is impressive He's grown with every game - best prospect we've had since I can remember.
  12. Haha! The MLS! What?? He's far too good for that league.
  13. Ideally you want a full-back that can do both of course but if it's a choice between one or the other then I'll always prioritise defensive solidity in that position. Also, I don't think Richardson is strong offensively. Yes, he bombs forward but unlike Bacuna, no final-third quality. So he doesn't beat Cissokho enough in that department to warrant starting ahead of him in my opinion. I agree - Sherwood doesn't seem to though, unfortunately.
  14. Good. I was a bit worried that our main transfer target was going to be Luongo - I was hoping we'd be looking at players a lot closer to the finished article than him.
  15. I do shudder at the memory of Yowsless De La Cruz, tbf.
  16. Guzan's premier league record is still quite a lot better than a guy who has been known as 'Flappyhandski' at various times in his career.
  17. It's not laziness, is it? It was about priorities. That doesn't make it any better but let's at least be accurate.
  18. It was interesting watching the game and then watching the highlights back. If you'd just seen the highlights, you'd be wondering how me managed to get nothing from the game but the feeling when watching was that we just weren't going to score and it wasn't our day. Vlaar definitely should have taken his chance IMO. I'd generally agree with your marks this time, except for Grealish who I think warranted a higher score than a 5.
  19. Yes - definitely. If I were Liverpool, I'd definitely stick with Mario. (are they buying it yet? shhhh)
  20. Why has Vardy's name been mentioned so much anyway?
  21. I know hardly any Chelsea or Man City fans - I know a lot of fans of Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool however.
  22. Works for me - I think Fox has done well so far.
  23. I'm not looking forward to this game in any way, shape or form. Nor next season. I've literally never been this pessimistic as a Villa fan. Christ, I need to snap out of it.
  24. No he isn't ffs. He made a mistake but then he's been out for ages, it's no surprise he was rusty. And it was a lack of awareness of his man, not his skill in the air that led to the Ings goal. As we've already seen with Clark, time on the pitch is the only answer there. I said it with Clark and I'll say it again with Baker, it's too early to write him off now. Personally with Okore, these three lads are a big part of our future. It's who we get to play around them now that is key. Baker's already a good enough CB - he's just rusty as hell.
  25. Considering this is football, I'd say probably not.
