  1. Vardy for 15mil or keep Weimann... The latter for me and I don't think weimann is good.enough.
  2. No, doesn't make you a good player either though. The only thing it shows is Zabaleta is better.
  3. I really hope he doesn't **** us up for the next few years with his transfers.
  4. I agree - so why the hell are we signing someone who's barely played in the last few seasons? This is a bad, bad idea.
  5. I still don't get why people are so happy with this. He's not a good defender - doesn't have the brain for it. He's simply an athlete who looked very promising but never lived up to the hype. This is going to be a catastrophic waste of money IMO.
  6. Or that he simply can't defend. Lousy Premier League! This - he can't run at the speed of an average full back, let alone the speed of light.
  7. That's absolutely meaningless - plenty of crap players have won trophies and league titles. Benteke's not won anything - does that mean he's bad?
  8. Like Lowton or Bennett? Combined, those two are on less than 65k a week, I'd imagine - comfortably so. I think Richards will be added to the list of players who have failed here, so I'd rather take a punt on someone like Sam Byram, than Richards.
  9. What kind of nonsense is this? James Milner's best selling point is being "versatile" and he's a cracking player. Its certainly not his best selling point - Milner has a hell of a lot more to offer besides just versatility. It's his main selling point. I'm not saying he's not a very good player (he is), but his versatility is his main thing. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2888701/James-Milner-no-closer-signing-new-long-term-deal-Manchester-City-Mr-Versatile-s-mind-focused-football.html http://www.espnfc.co.uk/blog/espn-fc-united-blog/68/post/2466499/james-milner-versatility-makes-him-elite-without-the-fanfare https://provenquality.com/wayne-rooney-james-milner-curse-versatility/ http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/terry-venables-james-milner-the-master-of-versatility-9789152.html To demonstrate, Matthew Lowton is a right back. What is James Milner? Versatile. Nobody is saying that Milner isn't versatile but he has many other qualities that are far more important than his ability to play in a variety of positions.
  10. Much rather have him back than Richards.
  11. I think a generic Championship defender would be better. This smacks of Harry Redknapp.
  12. I'm usually optimistic and give players a chance - and I will give Richards a chance but I think this is absolutely mental. I don't rate Richards at all and spunking all of that money up the wall every week on his contract is a terrible move. This was a worst case scenario signing for me and one that makes me question Sherwood massively.
  13. Guys? It was bobzy who brought up Milner, thanks.
  14. Yup - versatility is basically a nice bonus that Milner has. He's got ridiculous natural stamina/fitness, one of the best work ethics I've seen and good technical skills. Liverpool are incredibly lucky to have him.
  15. I can go along with the first part but not the second. They aren't a step up but I think they'll be above us again, as it stands. That could all change, mind.

  17. If your best selling point is that you're versatile, you're probably not good enough to play in the premier league.
  18. I don't rate him at all - not prem quality IMO. Get rid.
  19. Revlaarisionism going on, it seems.
  20. Nah - we've been saying that for years now and I just don't believe it any more. I think we'll struggle unless we strengthen.
  21. Dunne at his best was awesome but he could also quite easily be absolutely shit. Vlaar's been more consistent than he has, IMO.
  22. When he was a promising youngster, which was about 8 years ago now, he looked like he had awesome potential but he just never, ever improved IMO. Once he lost the youthful exuberance and the confidence, he just fell to shit. 19 league games in 4 seasons.
  23. Really BOF? He's absolutely braindead defensively.
  24. I'm not sure what you lads were expecting - we're only marginally more glamorous than bowel cancer these days.
