  1. What if it is just papering over the cracks and we get lumbered with him for another 5 games where we get 3 points or so?
  2. I'd take a loss against Chelsea if it meant getting rid of Sherwood. Especially considering 9 times out of ten we'll lose anyway against them.
  3. They're being discussed because of the media story/potentially leaked story about Sherwood wanting to buy Spuds rejects instead.
  4. I didn't have to by any stretch - I just wanted a shot at some better players now rather than waiting. I still had a pretty decent team. Plus it was 10 dollars, not pounds so that's a little better I suppose
  5. It's fairly common knowledge that Tim: - Has mates in the media - Blames everyone else for his failings So it seems to add up.
  6. So that's why he was so quiet in the summer - he was sulking because we didn't let him spunk all that money up the wall on shite. Sack him now Villa, please for the love of everything that is holy.
  7. Here's how we can applaud his decision to keep Sherwood for the time being:
  8. Yep but nowhere near as bad as FUT - plus it's really not too hard to get GP or coins through playing the game.
  9. New players! So the squad has been strengthened/improved. --------Toivonen----Welbeck------- ---------------Andre Gomes--------- ------Kroos------------Yaya Toure -------------Steven Davis---------------- Fabio-Mustafi-----Ivanovic--Clyne -----------------Zieler---------------------- Subs: Podolski, Icardi, Lodeiro, Tisserand, Lazar, Mane, Marveaux. Admittedly, I spent 10 bucks on coins to take advantage of the Special Agent available at the moment - that got me Welbeck, Gomes, Podolski and Clyne - so not a bad haul.
  10. Yeah I agree, Rodgers would be a big risk. I just can't look past Allardyce given our predicament - it seems to make so much sense.
  11. Definitely an option for full back. I'd like to see what he can do at RB.
  12. Linked with River Plate. If you sell him Sherwood...
  13. Interestingly he has less tackles per game, less interceptions per game, less clearances per game, gets dribbled past considerably more per game than Ashely Westwood. all data from whoscored.com just. saying. Fewer. Just saying.. great way to deflect from losing an argument. incidentally, this article begs to differ with the grammar-nazi's favourite piece of pedantry, but I won't quote it because that would be off-topic. What argument? You're the one who started talking about Westwood - I was talking about Veretout, who is generally perceived as a more attacking midfielder. As for the article - yes, it begs to differ but it's not necessarily correct. The truth is, there are no real 'rules' in English grammar - there is what is generally accepted as being correct and that changes with the times too. Less will more than likely become the catch-all adverb for both countable and uncountable nouns but for now it's not.

  15. Anyone playing myclub? Got a reasonable team on the go: --------Negredo----Icardi------- ---------------Lodeiro--------- ------Kroos------------Yaya Toure -------------Steven Davis---------------- Fabio-Angeleri-Ivanovic-Tisserand -----------------Zieler---------------------- Subs: Brienza, Depreville, J.Marveaux, Mane, Lazaar, Deplagne, Pierre
  16. It's too much expectation to have higher aspirations than a point every 2 games??
  17. A lot better at winning the ball than he gets credit for - classy player too, we're lucky to have him really.
  18. Because at the moment we're shitter than any Allardyce team - he'll get us to midtable and offer stability. It's a no-brainer for me.
  19. Don't agree at all Sikh - playing to Gestede's strengths has nothing to do with our lack of defensive organisation or mad substitutions.
  20. That's not how he plays and that's not how all target men play. With him in the team, he should only be a finisher and someone who presses the opposition's defenders when they have the ball.
  21. Why are you judging him on things he doesn't even need to do? He's an out-and-out target man - he's just supposed to be in the box to get on the end of crosses and he can do that.
