  1. Missed him terribly today. Oh.. wait.
  2. Things going awfully without him I see.
  3. I'd be happy with 3 - just a win... one of those elusive, delicious things...
  4. Well no, I'm not saying that because I don't believe he's one of our best players and I don't see how our defence could be much worse. I'm putting myself out there with this, I fully realise that I might be proved completely wrong but I'm not worried about that. I'd rather just speak my mind.
  5. I hope he's out for the Southampton game. Be interesting to see what the defence looks like without him.
  6. Or the actual good partnership of Clark and Okore back.
  7. Just different interpretations of events - I'm not going to say that you're wrong but I disagree with you.
  8. It just seemed very egocentric and not very captainly to me.
  9. As he ignored his team-mates and the fans and just celebrated by himself.
  10. I might be in a minority here but I don't see any issue with the midfield - it's the attack and defence that need bolstering. My first move would be to get Cissokho back from loan so that we never have to see Richardson in a Villa shirt again.
  11. We lost at home to Watford 3-2 and quite rightly, he's not coming under any flak. This says a lot about the man as a manager and surely is a positive sign for us.
  12. The midfield is not the issue at all here - we've got far more pressing things to worry about - such as our defence and attack.
  13. He's just an absolute travesty of a footballer. He can't do anything well - dribbling, passing, tackling, pressing, positioning. He's just bad at everything. I never want to see him in a Villa shirt again.
  14. I don't see how it could be possible for him to have had a good game. He's the captain and the guy who should be organising the players around him - all the goals we conceded were defensive cock-ups. Goal 1 - Goal 2 - Goal 3 Completely owned by Ighalo for the first goal, ends up sliding in unnecessarily (yet again) and the man he was supposed to be marking scores. An absolute spectator for the second goal, just watched the ball go past him - he doesn't stick to his man, he doesn't make a challenge because he's poorly positioned. Third goal - initially loses his man, manages to get a block in and then just sits there watching us Deeney loses his marker (Richardson), and leaps over an unsuspecting Clark. Inspirational. What a fantastic performance.
  15. An absolutely woeful footballer - one of the worst players I've ever seen at Villa.
  16. Why? He scored a goal, yes, but was defensively shit yet again.

  18. Look I've been a massive fan of his for years but this last interview is just a step too far.
  19. Nah, he spelt 'Penfold Lookalike Contest Winner' wrong.
  20. He's never been a particularly great keeper, his confidence is at an all time low and he wouldn't come cheap with wages etc. Plus I think Guzan is fine.
  21. *makes mistake, flaps arms exasperatedly, points at somebody nearby*
  22. I'd say that NRC took flak because he himself didn't understand his limitations - too many times he tried to do something fancy with the ball or play a deft pass when he just didn't really have the ability to do so. He was a good DM though, an absolute athlete and good at breaking up play. The memory that will stay with me of him was watching him man-mark Cronaldo out of a game, and the latter being subbed off to a chorus of boos from our lot, going as slowly as possible to milk more attention. Sanchez is better at understanding his role and is a bit better technically too.
  23. Being presented with chances means that you were in the right place at the right time - that's a skill in itself.
  24. Probably my first name on the team-sheet at present.
