  1. I think he's excited at the size of the organisation involved, the possibilities, and the fact we havent had an Adidas shirt yet personally
  2. Why is it not Adidas?
  3. Improving our standing and exposure worldwide increases revenue, revenue means we can spend more and are less restrained by FFP. That means we can give Emery and his successors the tools they need for sustained success and take the chains off NSWE to really flex their financial muscle. It also means I'm less likely to have to see Man fecking City merchandise in every shop in Birmingham. Partnering with one of the giants makes that easier. So be it. Adidas it is then. Probably.
  4. I'm personally not at all fussed about Werner. I doubt he'd play much here, certainly wasn't for RB and couldn't hit a donkey's arse with a banjo the last time he was in this league. He could go on to be an inspired move but the evidence doesn't suggest that. Lets get a right back, cover for the CM pivots, and a versatile attacker who can play across the front 4. Lets get Buendia, Mings, and Tielemans back and get JJ back up to speed. Lets win the league.
  5. He's still way off the pace for me. But I understand why that is. Its been such a disruptive season for him. Also, we're not in sparkling fluid form as a team. If he's getting grief, that's disgraceful. He will be back to his best and a massive asset again soon.
  6. His natural position to me is just off the striker.
  7. This is how I feel. He's obviously incredibly talented, and a real character. If we signed him he may settle and become a superstar, or another Coutinho-like millstone. I just don't know. But I like him. He's unlike anybody else we have.
  8. Nah, he'll come to champions instead
  9. Clown? Pete's an absolute diamond!
  10. YELLOW ON LIGHT BLUE DOES NOT WORK.
  11. If Eric Dier is an option for Villa then so am I. And a better one at that.
  12. I think Tielemans really helps defeat this style of defending with his quick, perfectly weighted first time passes. It allows us to play through tight marking and press. We've missed him.
  13. I think we clearly need cover and competition for the midfield 6/8 positions. Tielemans and McGinn are great for the next two midfield positions but neither are adequate cover for Luiz or Kamara. One player is enough for now. Right back is an obvious need. Konsa is one of the centre halves ideally or the right of a 3. Its great he can cover there. I like Cash but he's not the solution. You could argue we need 2 long term. A more attacking wing back and a defensive option. Another attacking string-puller in midfield wouldn't hurt. Another striker option / cover is needed. Backup keeper of course. Buendia and Mings will really help on return. But we need a few more to make sure we make the most of this great opportunity.
  14. We're in some stodgy form. The obvious disappointments of the last 2 games have rocked us a little. We're not as fluid and dominant without Torres, Kamara and Tielemans. We needed to win by any means in this game and use the break to reset. Job done. And yes, we need a couple or 3 in next month.
  15. ****' Heck! My first impressions are it should be hanging up behind 4 masked men with AK47s. It's... not great.
  16. On loan, if we had an injury to Kamara, maybe. He wouldn't get much more game time here though otherwise. I'd rather give Tim more games. He has a higher ceiling and his development is better for our future.
  17. Borne on a plane making Euro stops. Monchi's competing with Jurgen Klopp. He knows ever right wing back under the sun. But there's only one, and everyone knows that's Frimpong. Monchi magic. Monchi magic. Monchi magic. Monchi magic ooooooooooh.
  18. Its nice to imagine all these new wonderful sonorous tributes to the players, but most fans are tone deaf, with broad Brummie accents, and they couldn't hold a tune any more than they could hold a pyroclastic flow. Case in point: Holtenders in the Sky. Compare it to Johnny Cash's original Ghostriders in the Sky. Its an absolute travesty that sounds nothing like the source. Can you imagine this same cacophonous horde belting out Kingston Town, bless them? If we want to keep Bailey, I strongly advise against it. **** it, let's rework Marillion's Kayleigh. Bailey, oh I never thought we'd miss you And, Bailey, we thought that you'd always be benched We said Diaby would start forever But you just scored in front of the Holte End
  19. He did. He has looked more uncomfortable at other times though. I'm not sure if last night was an outlier or the start of Konsa as the right back we need. I still think its the former and that we need a new right back.
  20. You can do if you're desperate. There's value to be had for canny operators and that's what we are atm.
  21. Ah shit. What a top man. Gutted.
