  1. Pau, wow, wow wow wow wowwwwww... Unbelievable.
  2. Its worth a try. "Marlon, didn't we used to have a garden?" "Why, yes, I think so dear. I fancy our house was 100 yards closer to Witton Lane too. How queer..."
  3. Werner is fast, relatively useful on the ball, but he couldn't hit a donkey's arse with a banjo. I'd rather play Morgan Rogers or Duran and let them reach their potential.
  4. Luiz is class but he's at his best as a 6/8 with Kamara at 6 and when Kamara isn't there we're asking a lot of him. Thankfully he answers the call, but we don't have a plug and play replacement for Kamara and this is the main problem in our midfield. Luiz needs that other pivot to do his job to get the most out of him.

    Jhon Durán

Instinctive finisher, thunderbolt shot power, swagger, character, strength, very young. Raw. What's not to like? If he had a more unreliable, less fit senior player in front of him he might be in double figures by now. My daughter's Villa Teddy is called Duran after his goal against Palace.
  6. Betano is a shocking logo. Its like something you'd see on a 90s independent shop. I hope there's a rework in the offing or at least lose the motif.
  7. Didn't we have to commit to 52k to be a venue? May have imagined that.
  8. You think anybody would seriously propose knocking down Aston Hall for a stadium?
  9. I wont lie, I'd have that black and red one.
  10. Its not irrational. They can be as shit on the pitch as you like but if their off-field game improves and they eat into our potential, it will be a mistake. I think a few people are massively underestimating the revenue potential of a large modern stadium in Birmingham.
  11. Exactly. We can name our price The hall itself can be incorporated as a Jacobean themed restaurant on the south concourse.
  12. That logo looks terribad. Good luck Adidas.
  13. New Villa Park to be built alongside an expanded Villa Park until ready, after which time old Villa Park is used for museum tours, hotel, match day fun, womens and youth games. I'm sorry Aston Hall but you're just a posh gaff from yesteryear and you had a good run.
  14. The days of average players going for 40-50m are over. FFP is hammering clubs now and they'll be more canny with their brass.
  15. It would depend on how its financed and also if its even possible to support the logistics of expanding VP. The extra traffic, parking, rail etc. A new stadium might be easier to find sponsorship for, not only commercially but from the government / lottery. And yes, buying up property around VP would be a cheaper option in the short term for sure, but if its not fit for for purpose in 10 years because we need to expand again and have maxed what's possible at VP, we'd have the same issues. I'm not saying don't do the expand VP option, just that it might be best to start from scratch in the long run. Patch the roof vs new roof. Regarding your second point. If we're not currently looking at major expansion, how does the club intend to compete with other top clubs financially if a significantly larger stadium isn't in the plans? And what was the point of the architectural designs and declared plans to expand to 53k? How does it intend to satisfy the clear demand for extra tickets? Increasing the yield without expanding the stadium means what exactly? Just better commercial partnerships, a few extra seats from a rethink layout, and increasing ticket prices? Great, but that won't nearly be enough.
