I remember Richard saying Veretout was an extraordinary talent that was gonna take us to another level (in same post he stated that Leicester was the worst team he ever seen in preseason and would relegate fyi sorry Rich that post stuck in my mind since then) And overall praising the whole transfers last year as one of the best ever. Interesting how now that changed to being worst squad ever assembled.

Gana is much younger and has much higher potential to reach. He was Everton's MOTM by far in their first game. Jedinak is great business in our current position, but yea making profit on him was given. It's not particularly remarkable business at all, even if he was poor with us, what he shown in Lile is enough to gather good fee.

Not at all, but I think he just deserves better league to show his talent than Championship, I'm sure few teams will pay us good sum and we'll find someone adequate as replacement. He moved to us to eventually move up, let's not be delusional, I doubt he'll want to play in lower league than the one he came from. Amavi has potential to be amazing, and I'd like to see that happen. Doesn't make me any less Villa fan.

Did you already forgot Portsmouth? And seriously, going down and rebuilding the team looks by far better option than that. Just see, Leicster, Watford, Palace, Southampton, all recently promototing from Championship and looking strong. Championship gives the manager chance to rebuild the team and win the league and go to BPL with massive confidence. If we somehow stay up this year, I see nothing changing and this process repeating for next few years to come. ( not that I mean we should accept relegation by default, but spending shitton on player wages in January is the wrong solution longterm)

Relegation could be a massive blessing in disguise personally, for number of years we escape relegation by slim margin but change very little around the club, we were just one of these clubs that was always going hang at the end play shit football and stay up, not much excitement..relegation would be a massive reality check and things would needed to be done differently. If so we could win Championship and hope for a Newcastle 2010 season get over 100 points and come with massive confidence back up. I think if Garde would stay with us in Championship we wouldnt have much problems as well.
