  1. This is way more unrealistic than Belhanda ever was imo, Honda is just too good for our team.
  2. He's young and inexperienced, but he could well in few years become similar player to what Gary Cahil is now. Of course, he might not too. Baker is my preffered option, but I'd definitely keep him for one more year at least.
  3. If we are going splash that much, which we could. We did at Benteke afterall or similar. Let's better go for Praet then Hughes. I rate Hughes, but Praet could be totally world class, Hughes meanwhile will be great, but not on same level imo, although it could turn out different of course.
  4. Chelsea was interested in Okore and look what happened... In January though. Not a comparable too. Young unproven --//-- Proven, class Anyway, I think if we go for him actually, we stand a chance, but who knows at this point. IF we are getting him though, the deal wont happen in june, but usually at the end of transfer window imo.
  5. To some UAE or Russian owners please then Hopefully by next year too, so we can keep Benteke if he stays with us this year xD * dream ends * But seriously, who knows what's going happen.
  6. How can someone wanted even by Ajax be in same league to Crouch or Bowery? Yeah, he was just wanted, by Ajax has the best football school for kids like him, the kid has massive potential, and with us could develop brilliantly.
  7. Please don't compare Helenius to Crouch!!! Helenius is not awkward on the ball. He can play some great passing and football.
  8. How is he supposed to know? Dunno. But it's a fair guess. Because we signed 4 players already, doesn't mean we wont sign more. And looking at it from a point of view that those 4 players equate to around a price we will get for Bent ( around 8 million ) plus his wage. Means, there should be more players coming because we CAN afford them. We got ride of Dunne, Ireland and Given to come. I expect 2 more talented out of nowhere players, more stablished LB and a 'marquee' signing such as possible Belhanda or someone else. That's the joy with this policy, our transfer wage budget will be low after releasing those high earners so we can allow ourselves to buy more young players.
  9. When we signed Lowton, Westwood or Benteke did we not think they would be on the bench at the start? You have to give them time and see. For me Okore is definitely starter for us. The other 3 add great depth to the bench, and with Helenius especially we have a MASSIVE talent on our arms to break into the squad slowly, not as fast as Benteke though I think. Richard pointed out that Juky and August will be busy too, because we already signed 4 players, doesn't mean we won't sign 4-5 more. Those 4 players earn less than Bent's alltogether wage ( or Given's for the fact )
  10. Okore after few games will eat Vlaar or Baker for breakfast.
  11. It won't today. It'll be on the weekend for sure. Or at latest Monday I think.
  12. Considering they didn't even play for us, not sure you can call them gems right now
  13. Not super excited, but you can't go wrong with just a million in football!
  14. A Danish journalist ( at Danish TV2) I have as a friend said this in a PM on other forums to me : ''Looks like Jores Okore to Aston Villa is a done deal - so two Danes at Villa next season.'' Also mentioned this: ''Not sure why Villa wants him. Don't they already have plenty of strikers? That said, Helenius' a great talent. Recently won an UEFA award as player of the year in the Danish league. Not that I agree with it, but he did have a great season, being the most "productive" player with 16 goals and 7 assists (combined, that's more than anyone else in the league). From sources, I know that Ajax wanted him in the Winter transfer window. Not sure why it fell through.''
  15. This is about where I am as well. I really hope he comes in and hits the ground running but it is a massive ask for a 20 year old CB to step up and fix our defence. Even Baker is older and more experienced than him and CB is a position where experience really counts for something. Indeed. Samba as well as many others QPR players showed everyone that Experience is indeed needed to achieve success!!!! Meanwhile teams like Borussia constantly shows that young players just can't make it, too young and inexperienced
  16. I am pretty sure Agbonlahor will stay 74 actually. That means he'll be a silver and making EA $$$$$$ because of his pace...
  17. As mentioned before, too much smoke on one side, no quotes on the other. Whats all this smoke business, technically Kendrick was right as Tonev deal won't be completed till this week. On one hand, you have the Montpellier chairman telling the media that there had been a bid from us, then the player himself specifically spoke about us and acknowledged that there was interest. Then there was all the twitter gossip about our people meeting Belhanda - taken on its own, it's not much. but when you couple it with official acknowledgement of our interest from Montpellier, the case for our interest in the player is much stronger. On the other hand, one quote-less and very dubious newspaper article, plus tweets from Kendrick, which are not always to be trusted (as mentioned before). Doesn't the fact that you had to use the word "technically" make Kendrick sound less trustworthy? "Technically" is a term that's used almost exclusively to suggest that something is ambiguous without being strictly be wrong or untrue. It is possible for someone to "technically" say the truth, while simultaneously deliberately throw people off the scent. (Just to illustrate my point, it is "technically" true that no signings are made until Jul 1. But would you, for example, trust an ITK who claimed that Villa would not sign any new players until Jul 1?) and the £10 - £15m fee , and likley £75k wages - all against what type of player Lambert has said we are after. What did you smoke ? He's around 10, 20 at big maximum. Where the hell did you get 75k from ?
  18. Yes, 2 days indeed So yeah, he also makes mistakes everyone..
  19. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/andreas-weimann-agrees-sign-new-4282760 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSsssss Just Benteke to go and I'll be supper happy!
  20. The mock ups are way better. But the chances are probably higher of jersey like posted above, rather than a mockup.
  21. A force in like finishing 10th? Any higher than that would be extremely difficult with the squad we have right now. Don't forget that the likes of Fulham are going to sign players as well, and odds are they will be signing players with more experience that will take the league easier. Any money you like says we finish higher than 10th next season, with or without Belhanda. It's pointless worrying about what other clubs are doing. Remember how many of us were quaking in our boots last year looking at QPR's signings! They bought Samba for huge bucks and we bought a 'nobody' from Claremont Foot. Hmmm... I'll take the nobody thank you very much. Tbf Samba was pretty good minus a couple games and surely couldve helped our defense. I think they're bigger problems were last summer For 100,000 per week? You are having a laugh. Samba was supposed to have experience. I ( and Lambert agrees ) say **** experience.
  22. indykaila News ‏@indykaila25m Little update for #Villa coming. #AVFC He has 50,000 followers and has some pretty accurate info I hear. I am hoping the update is going be Benteke and Andi extending the deals.
