  1. We have to take it game by game but we simply have to beat Fulham. I can’t envisage a scenario where we lose to Fulham and still finish in the top 7. The teams around us just have too many games to play and enough quality to see it through. Beat Fulham and see where we’re at. It may even be that we need to go to United and get all 3 points.
  2. Don’t bother mate, everybody else understood what you were saying.
  3. HEY! Don’t you talk smack about Orjan. His last ditch clearance against Sheffield United and semi final performance against Leicester made us the team we are today. Orjan. But yeh, Olsen is s***.
  4. Not sure about that. They’ve been very good today, much better than us. Fully deserve to be ahead. Don’t think one can understate how big Martinez going off was for us. No player wants Olsen in goal for them. Knew we’d lose as soon as it happened. Big game against Fulham!
  5. As good as we were last week, we’ve been as poor this week. Really poor performance.
  6. Olsen can’t wait to throw this game away for us. He’s trying his absolute best again to gift the other team a goal.
  7. They’re getting in behind our fullbacks time and time again. I’d take a point here tbh.
  8. Not pleasant watching this. We’re second best all over the pitch.
  9. So so poor from Olsen. He’s an awful goalkeeper he really is.
  10. Flat. They’ve edged the first half there. Martinez is playing very well. We need to be much better in the second half. Come on Villa.
  11. God, how annoying. If I wanted to hear 90 minutes of moaning, I’d have stayed at home with the missus.
  12. And that Sulemana is a talented youngster. They remind me of Villa when we went down. The players they have signed aren’t bad and they’ve got lots of potential, it’s just a bit of a mish mash and their inexperience is showing. Id hazard a bet that Salisu, Bella Kotchap, Lavia and Alcaraz will all go on to have very decent careers. Ruben Neves struggling to get into the side at Wolves at the moment bizarrely. I’ve always been a big fan. Would cost a pretty penny but he’ll be off somewhere in the Summer…
  13. I don’t think so. The second striker acts as the width on the right and Moreno bombs on to add the width on the left. This allows the right midfielder to play a little more centrally and the right back to form a 3 man defensive unit so we don’t get done on transition.
  14. Take away his mistakes and there are probably only a handful of centre halves better than him in Europe. That’s how good I think he is/can be on his day. He gives you pretty much everything you want in a centre half - pace, strength, aerial ability, good reading of the game. It’s always been his mistakes that have let him down. He’d give away a goal every 5/6 games previously - not sure if he’s past that under Emery but the signs are good. With that being said, I do wish he’d score a couple more from corners. Like Laursen used to!
  15. I’ve always rated Phillips and thought he’d be a terrific signing when we were linked but with you on it now. He signed away his football career when he went to Man City. It wasn’t a Grealish like situation where he was destined to become one of their best players because he was that good, he was always being brought in as a squad option. He isn’t a bad player, but let somebody else pay the £40m they’d want to take him off their hands. No better than the much improved Luiz and Kamara. Much prefer somebody like Lavia/Kone at that sort of fee. FWIW, the links are absolute nonsense. No way are we interested in Kalvin Phillips.
  16. How was that not a foul??? Absolute joke of a decision. Completely shoved him.
  17. They’re not even being subtle with the time wasting. It’s great fun to watch.
  18. Really, really tidy. I’ve said it in the transfer thread, he’d be a really smart pick up in the Summer. Can’t see it though.
  19. I’m worried how his second one will affect him!
