Yep. An utter mess of a squad. I actually thought at the start of the season, it was a squad capable of finishing comfortably top 6. It really isn't. The money bruce wasted to leave us with this mess is shocking.

Squad building can be also coaching, assessing which players to keep etc.. getting 8 months to do this before the real rebuilding is better than just doing it in the summer. The decision was not ridiculous, it made sense that new owners arriving when they did would want some stability, it then became clear bruce was failing so they decided not to waste anymore time. And thank ****

So its given smith 8 months to start building his squad. Much better than letting bruce continue to damage us.

I think some need to accept that things have completely changed. RDM and Bruce were both hired to get us straight back up and were given plenty of cash to throw at the problem. Both failed and have left another mess, similar to when we were relegated. It sounds like our new owners are not going to make the same mistake. There is now a long term idea with no throwing bad money away desperate for short term glory. Smith may not be the right man but he has been hired to do a different job than RDM and Bruce. He is here to build and coach HIS team.

I couldn't care what he does. If he scored loads it would change nothing. He has been abysmal here and a lot of that is on him.

If they go up i doubt it will be soley down to Hogan. From what i've seen of him, he is a woeful player and i don't expect smith to do anything with him. Tammy seems to be doing just fine.
