    I'd swap out one of Holtby or Sigurdsson for a DM but thats pretty much how I see it as well.

    If Lerner stay's and provides Lambert with the usual £20 million then we need to spend it on 3 or 4 quality player's. Idealy he will give Lambert more than that or we get new owners.

    I wouldn't give him too much game time because if we get hammered it could unnecessarily damage his confidence. I'd want him going into pre-season and the beginning of next season still on a high from keeping Notts up.

    When he came I told myself I would give him 3 seasons ( provided we didn't get relegated ) because that's how long I felt it would take to reshape the squad and get rid of the high earner's. If we're not comfortably mid-table by this point next season i'll agree he needs to go. I'd hope he get's a crack next year if we get new owner's who will give him a bigger transfer budget.

    Yaya Toure is not a good passer.... he's a £20 million plus passer. Westwood is great at passing. Toure is fantastic, but that's probably part of the reason he cost so much.

    I may be wrong but didn't Lambert play that sort of formation when he was at Norwich as well? I believe he did and Hoolahan was always at the tip of the diamond iirc.

    I don't know what was worse. The refs decision to give a penalty or Shearer trying so hard to defend the fantastic Luis Suarez. What a joke.

    Agree I don't think chelsea want him but I feel a club much higher up in the table will want him in the summer. Hopefully we can show him in his time here that this is the place to be.

    I think I'd still rather have Holt tbh. Besides if you look at it from your point of view it's like saying you'd rather have Stephen Ireland than Delph.

    Nah this is where we need signings in the summer. What we need now is an AM and that would be good enough for the rest of this season. Maybe a RB as well depending on how bad the Lowton situation is.

    He's done we'll this season when partnered with Vlaar. At the end of last season I wasn't sure who was better between Clark and Baker but Clark seems to have stepped up his game this year.

    I'd have heskey over holt every day. Why's that? I'd have Holt myself as I feel you'd get more goals from him and also seems to be better at "bullying" defenders.

    He really can't afford many more issues can he. You might get away with one without too much grief but if he gets one more now surely Lambert will just get rid, might even sell him in the summer and get someone else in. Shame really because if he got his head down and worked on his game he could become a very good PL RB.
