We got rid of Collins and Cuellar. We got Vlaar in and have Clark and Baker, remember Dunne was originally only supposed to be out for 4-8 weeks. That's 4 Cb's with Lowton and Herd ( who admittedly isn't the best ) to cover. Cuellar hasn't played well and I wouldn't want to watch Collins hoof it up to benteke every week, so no way I would take them back.

Bang on! People seem to forget that we had a crap squad to start with. Our best player's this season have been Benteke, Lowton, Weimann, Guzan and Westwood, 3 of which Lambert bought himself, 1 who he resigned and 1 from the acadamy. Yes there are thing's that Lambert could improve so why don't people give him time to do that instead of calling for his head.

How on earth did we not win last night? We must have had at least twice the amount of attempt's on goal as they did. I think this is just a freak result tbh as we could have easily scored 6 or 7 on any other night and I think we will score quite a few back at VP. I will agree though that we need to buy a new CB and we need Vlaar back ASAP. The bigger worry though is midfield, we really need a sitting midfielder to just get stuck into people and not venture too far forward. We looked disjointed last night between defence, midfield and attack. Also I believe Bennet may come good but unlike Westwood and Lowton he isn't ready for the prem. I'd buy a new LB in jan and try and send him on loan to a decent championship club, leaving Steven's and Lichaj as backup to the new LB and Lowton.

FFS. Unlucky lad's. Played well 2nd half so take that confidence into the next game.

It's starting to look like one of those game's where Swansea will be all over us but won't put their chance's away and we might nick it. I still reckon it will be 3-1 to us though.

No way. I'm not saying we would have won or even drawn the games over xmas but if Vlaar was in the team we wouldnt be conceding for fun and we would look much tighter in defence which could be a platform for the players further up the pitch. We didnt play Bent but do you not think it would be good if we could call him in for a game like this which after recent result's Lambert surely would have done.

Nobody will agree with this but I think we would be fine if we had injured players like bent, gabby and especially Vlaar to call on. Then again the fact that we haven't got any squad depth is disappointing but I think people are overeacting. If we get these players back in and sign a couple decent players in jan we'll be fine.

I honestly don't know which way this is going to go. We could come out and play like we did when we beat them at VP or we could just implode and get hammered again. I'm always optimistic though so I'll say 3-1 to the villa. Also, happy new year to all on VT.

Well done lads. 50% improvement from Sunday. At this rate we'll draw 0-0 next then win 4-0 after that.

Started playing far cry 3 today and I have to say I'm enjoying it quite a bit. A lot better than far cry 2 IMO and I've also got forza horizon to play. Looking forward to next year as well. I went online to order some Xmas presents and ended up pre-ordering 3 games.

We should go for max clayton. I think he would take to the prem like Westwood has done. How old is he 17 or 18?

Sad to say but for sure Bent will be off in Jan now. Just a case of right player, wrong time unfortunately. However we'll win tonight but not comfortably. It's not the villa way.

It's hard to decide between Gabby and Weimann IMO. Gabby has played well since he's come back but Weimann has done most things right but score and he's been unlucky not to on a few occasion's.

It only took me until last night to realise this but I'd hate it if we did a man city. The fact they think they're too big to be bothered about the league cup says it all. Players, staff and most importantly fans who put their heart and soul into every game win, lose or draw.

Well, a very disappointing season for the second year in a row for red sox nation. Feel we're going in the right direction though by dumping masses off the wage bill. Hopefully we can concentrate on drafting well and producing our own talent instead of waving huge bag's of money in free agent's face's. We need player's like Lester, Pedroia, Ellsbury and Middlebrooke's. Look's promising with Lavarnway, Barne's and Bogaert's hopefully stepping up in the next season or two.

It's my dad's birthday soon and with it being his 50th me and my sister were looking into doing something special for him and we both agreed that the executive away travel package (to Arsenal) was a great idea. I was hoping someone on here may have done this or something similar in season's gone by and if you could let me know if it was worth doing, as for what it list's on the OS seem's great value for money. Any opinion's on it would be great, thank's in advance.
