  1. Ross Barkley undoubtedly has talent but unfortunately not the desire; there were rumours he likes a drink and he's not really invested to be a top athlete. Anyone notice he's huffing and puffing after ten minutes and pouring with sweat, WTF is that all about? Barkley has been ducking challenges ALOT the last few games too which is really annoying me and invites pressure on an already soft midfield. It is a crossroads period for him, he can rescue his career at Villa if he wants it. The way it's going though is we'll send him back to Chelsea say thanks but no thanks and he'll be on loan again next season to someone like Newcastle or a newly promoted team. His England career is over.
  2. It's McGinn. Last season granted he started the season well yet his form dropped off about a month before his injury. We rushed him back and he was still way off, he finally found a little consistency end of last season and was helped by the Covid break. This season he's had literally a couple of decent games and many more passenger ones. McGinn's too slow, gives the ball away too much and is constantly caught in possession. If we continue to play him he's costing us performances due to us being constantly walked through in the middle. Nakamba has proven in his fleeting appearances he can make us a little more solid there. However I'd prefer Sanson over McGinn everyday.
  3. I think he will prove to be the longterm replacement for McGinn. We can all see it but I think Smith wants to give him time however he surely is ready to start now.
  4. Great interview and of course a great performance once again. If he continues this form he could go on to be up there with the very best Villa keepers.
  5. This is where I'm at too. I love the guy but for a team with aspirations of top six I don't think he's good enough. If he's happy to be in and out of the team then great. Still think Sanson is the natural upgrade on McGinn.
  6. Yeah he was better, however woefully inconsistent. One decent game in six for McGinn.
  7. I agree, I said this week's ago and yet I got severely criticised by some. Both he and Mcginn are currently passengers and week in week out teams play right through us.
  8. I'd hope we use the allocated Barkley fee to sign someone else.
  9. Yeah, Mings has been great the last two games.
  10. Must admit I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this, he gave them everything. Must say that Dan Burn is a horrible b****** Martinez rightly MOTM although I admit that I voted for Sanson as he was better than Barkley and Mcginn combined. Errors tonight were terrible we constantly gave the ball away and looked clueless without Grealish. Barkley was atrocious tonight, no energy, drive, gave the ball away repeatedly and ducked out of several challenges. Martinez to thank, nine shots saved for him in a game we probably should have lost. If we play like that again we will get a heavy defeat at the hands of Leicester.
  11. Commentary suggested teams have been figuring out how to play us and getting tight as possible seems to work. Wet Spam doubled Grealish and again tonight against Brighton. Fair play to them, it isn't pretty but it works. The problem is no other Villa player is good enough to capitalise on this or they haven't trained for this scenario. The 'Barkley' money must be better used to support Grealish. I think we need £30-40 million to sign a player at CAM capable of helping alleviate this problem.
  12. Yup I've been saying it for ages... He isn't good enough for where we want to be, unfortunately Dean Smith doesn't seem to agree. McGinn is too slow at this level, his only option is to wait for the foul and he's seldom getting away with it.
  13. Another average performance, drop him and Barkley. Marvelous Luiz Sanson Would offer much more!
  14. Awful performance yet again and does he have a performance clause? Gave the ball away several times, no effort to track back and ducked out of challenges. It's the same every game. I'd say £20 million is too much for him based on his performances and yet Chelski want £40 million.
  15. Marvelous would have offered more than Barkley for sure. Our midfield yet again was too soft and they played through us repeatedly.
  16. Some are, it's like anywhere there are good people. I just have met many Celtic fans and they are highly annoying.
  17. I'd try spreading the word here in Aberdeen, but alas Grealish being English doesn't help his cause. They'd hate him by default They love Manure here for Fergie's exploits at Aberdeen.
  18. Anyone but English I'd attest. Living in Scotland and seeing their bigotry disgusts me. I just cannot see his Englishness (Cockney geezer) being to their liking. Mowbray was a Northerner, and practically Scottish as it is Anyway f*** them, their horrible kit and the cesspit of a stadium.
  19. See Mr. Lansbury isn't pulling up any trees. Not surprisingly!
  20. I'd be amazed if Celtic had Terry managing their club, he's the wrong nationality. That's how they think unfortunately!
  21. I know it's just 'paper talk' re: Mings to Manure but in all my hatred of them I'd hope we never do any business with them. We should not be looking for other teams to strengthen by selling our players whilst we have NSWE at the helm. Summer transfer window could be very interesting indeed.
  22. You are correct. It is very interesting that we can begin to coach Wesley to fit in with our style, presuming he can get fit. Almost like restarting the whole process again and trying to smooth out a diamond; if Wesley can get over that hurdle of missing eighteen months of football I think he could potentially be a much better player. Wishful thinking maybe but there is a method too.
  23. I have Twitter, but I use Instagram more as I find it easier to share what I do. Twitter to me is far too much conversation and waffle. my_ruyi_taiji if anyone wants to follow me!
