  1. I don’t think he’ll walk away and I dread the scenario where he will get sacked because I’m sure we’d be in a very bad position before Lerner decided to act. However I do hope the club has some sort of contingency plan. Mine would be Stuart Gray.
  2. He's here until the end of the season I think people need to get used to that So you don’t see any scenario where Lambert will be sacked?!
  3. Nothing wrong with a bit of confidence/attitude. He's not done anything wrong. If he was turning up late for training or out on the piss I'd agree. Wanting to play football is hardly a negative.
  4. It’s a fairly significant role at most clubs. Maybe Lambert should hire a locksmith and he can explain to the players how to unlock this mystical f**kin door he keeps banging on about.
  5. Yeah seen that. The change of manager prob has something to do with it. He'd be a good addition here but its unliley he'd join us with Lamberts job security having to be an issue.
  6. Starting for Forest against Derby. On Sky if anyone wants to see him play
  7. Surprised too. With the injuries I thought he'd make the bench at the very least. Lambert goes again
  8. Hardly. Especially if the player plus cash deal is for another forward, not saying I know anything by the way just to avoid countless PMs Well I doubt you’ll get many folks offering to “drive him” to another club. He’s a decent premier league squad player who has shown flashes of being capable of more. Don’t think anyone would fault his effort. But there’s no point in engaging in complete speculation. Every player has his price as they say so of course he could leave if the valuation was right whether part of a swap or a transfer
  9. Would love if we made a move for Jesse Lingard. He's not likely to get a look in at United givening their wealth of atttackign midfielders. Would be worth a bid. Superior than Sinclair and is still developing.
  10. Delighted with this signing - at the very least it shows Lamberts intention to find a way to score a few goals!
  11. Yes I agree he’s still developing, however he needs game time to develop and figure out how to impose himself on games. The coaching staff will have done video analysis with him on the Blackpool game and his other games. I’d say he’s chomping at the bit waiting for another chance. I can’t see Cole starting again, so I think Jack will get another chance soon. He needs it. I honestly think he will be starting for us by the end of the season.
  12. Give us a break. With the expense and portion of your weekend that attending games costs, it’s really, really, frustrating to have to stomach 90mins of mind numbingly dour football. Fans have a right to expect to be entertained. This doesn’t mean playing total football. Hoof ball with a purpose can be just as entertaining. But watching a team who do not seem to want to attack at all is infuriating. It’s pretty naive to expect people to sing and cheer their way through 90mins when watching us play at the minute. Lambert needs to address this before the majority of fans turn on him.
  13. FFS how can you judge him on that game?! It was a tactical atrocity. The whole team was useless. The formation was an embarrassment and the lads didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Aly & Hutton were supposedly wingbacks and Cole and Grealish were supposedly playing in a front 3 with Benteke. He had a poor game, as did Benteke, Cole, Hutton, Westwood & Cissokho. By the way Cleverley was the worst player on the pitch and yet he still starts every game. However the formation was so poor it prob gives them all an excuse. What’s more we now know Cole does not have 70mins in him (never mind 90), Gabby needs to be benched, Weimann and Nzogbia are searching for form. This is why I think it would be crazy to loan out a player who will at the very least be used from the bench regularly as things stand. His contributions from the bench have all been positive.
  14. Creative, free, borderline basket case? Yep, he's right up our street. Done well on his last stint in Birmingham. Worth a punt
  15. I think just like Okore, all he needs is an opportunity to start a league game and he will retain his place. I cannot seem him going out on loan, it would be insanity when he is on the fringes of the first team here.
  16. If that was the criteria for selection we'd be fielding the academy team!
  17. Have you seen United or Arsenal play?!!!
  18. Nonsense, it would cost us at least £1.5million to loan an average centre half for the rest of the season. If United value him at £1.5million then what do we value Cleverley in the same contractual position at? You'd expect Villa to get significantly more than 1.5 mil for Vlaar? I think even 1.5 is a push for him. Cleverley's value is whatever's put as an option in his loan contract. Yes I would. It makes no sense economically to sell him for less than £3million with a transfer request. He is our Club Captain. He is worth more in excess of £1.5million to us for the remainder of the season.
  19. Nonsense, it would cost us at least £1.5million to loan an average centre half for the rest of the season. If United value him at £1.5million then what do we value Cleverley in the same contractual position at?
  20. Like many clubs who let themselves get in this position we are powerless to stop Delph running down his contract and going elsewhere on a free. The best course of action is to offer him the best possible deal we can afford and see if he accepts it in the end. I do not see any logic in selling him, he is a vital part of our squad and the risk of trying to replace him in the January window is too big regardless of forgoing a fee which would probably be at best around the £5milllion mark.
  21. Look we all know fans forums can illcit some rather harsh reviews of players! He's starting every game so the manager obviously rates him. If he comes back here fully fit then the loan will have served its primary purpose.
  22. Thanks for the update. Its a pity to see he has regrsssed since signing for Villa. Obviously illness may have played a part in this. Be nice to see him at least return to the form he had before he came here.
