  1. I'll take your word for it that these are all real people
  2. Everyone else has given up so I'll be back with some calculations later
  3. Just 'cause I love CoFC, two posts above yours I hypothesise that 5th place is, in fact, not lost yet: Even with a West Ham loss tonight if you can lose a point for one of those German teams' results then the totals would be: England 18.250, Germany 18.214. Hardly an unrealistic set of circumstances, but as ever we'll know a lot more in about 12 hours. If the above plays out though we'll have to throw the ECL final to stop Spurs qualifying
  4. Cheers mate you just nearly wrote off my Macbook with a coffee propulsion jet
  5. Villa draw tonight and go through, West Ham draw and go out, Liverpool win but go out => (1 + 1 + 1 + 2)/8 = 0.625 points, leaving England 0.017 points behind Germany. Villa get a win, a draw, and go through the SFs and, of course, win the final => (2 + 1 + 1 + 2)/8 = 0.75 points. The German teams all go out in the semis with one win plus a loss (Leverkusen), one win plus a loss (Bayern), and draw plus a loss (Dortmund) => (2 + 2 + 1)/7 = 0.714 points. Totals: England 18.375, Germany 18.357
  6. But we could win in the semi finals and none of the German teams get any more points. If we go through tomorrow then sadly, for the sake of the ongoing coefficient conversation, it actually won't be over.
  7. It's still conceivable for England to add 0.75 points tomorrow and Germany to not get any more at all but let's just get 4th and leave Tottenham blaming Arsenal.
  8. Just line the walls with wads of cash from this week's salary
  9. Bayern look almost as good as Aston Villa did vs Arsenal, albeit the former do have home advantage.
  10. Under Levy, Tottenham established themselves as a regular European team - taking part in the three UEFA cups from 06/07 to 08/09 and every season since 2010/11 until this one, in fact - and often (6 out of the 14 years since 2010/11) in the Champions League. What have they got to show for it? Besides a League Cup win in 07/08, a cheese room and a few American Football matches. If we won the ECL, we'd already be more successful than Spurs this century. And that's in a year when they haven't played in Europe for the first time since 2009. So yes, qualifying for the CL gives you the platform to potentially establish yourself at the top and be more successful in the long run, but as evidenced it doesn't actually win you anything.
  11. Expected to see Pongo on this list but good to see his brother did well too
  12. He's also threatening to steal Ollie's golden boot with all of the penalties.
  13. They'll have never seen anything like Aston. It could be like one of those quaint, non-assuming English villages (but the opposite) that goes viral on Weebo or whatever and suddenly you've got coach loads of Chinese flocking in to Mr Fish.
  14. Yes the new station and transport system, it's a 'people mover' that will only have a 2,000 person capacity per hour. And parking usually in someone's garden pretty much but it's still easier (and this is no benchmark) to get away from than the NEC.
  15. Also the HS2 interchange has a capacity of 2,100 people per hour (in both directions but most will be going to the city centre not the airport, though that could be used as a roundabout way to reach the city by train), which is clearly insufficient for a 60,000 seater stadium and the NEC car parks are an absolute disaster to get out off after a concert with a quarter that number of attendees.
