  1. The young lad playing left back for Palace today has looked really good.
  2. Ha ha. Imagine if that’s true! Nothing wrong will Ollie but Targett just thinks he’s a bit rubbish!
  3. Agreed. He must fancy playing in massive finals and CL matches. I think he has 1 season left at Villa at most. I would take that to be honest.
  4. Everton have been pretty woeful at home this season. Their form is pretty poor. We all know what happens when Villa come to town and you’re in poor form!
  5. There seems to be a gathering storm relating to Jack joining City. I have always felt that he would definitely stay this summer but I am starting to get a bit nervous. I think City are the only team who could lure him away. It must be tempting for anybody if they come calling.
  6. Living example of giving players time to settle. This time last year he was very inconsistent but now he is a real contender for POTS. Great that he has signed. More great work from the leadership team.
  7. Maybe but I think it does provide an indication of balance of play. I would love Bissouma to sign for us. He is a class midfielder. I would also take White and Lamptey. Other than that I don’t think they have any real stand out players. They are well coached.
  8. If you look at their expected points, they should be 21 points better off. That’s easily the most in the PL and would mean that they were challenging for Europe. I think they are a bit unlucky added to the fact that they need a good number 9. Stick Ollie in their team and they would be flying.
  9. We have been awful for weeks but we weren’t awful tonight. More often than not we would have won that game on the balance of play. We played some nice football at times. We moved the ball well and created some chances. They created very little in return and we were undone by a lucky penalty and an awful own goal where Konsa and Mings both had shockers! Hopefully that will be the springboard for some better performances and results until the end of the season. As I said before, if it doesn’t then Dean will be under pressure.
  10. I am starting to get a bit concerned that our terrible end to the season may make Jack think it’s time to move on. It certainly won’t help. Jack is going to want a chance of winning trophies at some stage and we look a million miles away from that. Maybe the lack of money post C-19 may save us but it is a bit worrisome.
  11. Agree with this but he always seems to be better when he comes off the bench rather than starting. I would keep giving him minutes off the bench for now.
  12. I thought he was good throughout. I was really surprised when he got taken off. Thought Ramsey did ok when he came on though.
  13. Regardless of what any of us think, I really think that if this continues he will be sacked at the end of the season. We were better today in my view but it’s still an awful result against an awful team. It’s our easiest fixture remaining and we nearly lost it! Will be amazed if we win again this season.

    Keinan Davis

So pleased for him. A season on loan in the Championship will do him the world of good. He can be a player but he needs to play to learn.
  15. Lovely to see the lad back. Go on big Wes.
  16. I thought he was generally poor although not as bad as his other recent displays. I really would have taken him off before Luiz or Ross but we got there in the end I suppose.
  17. I have given Dean some stick recently but we were much better today in my view, albeit against a truly woeful team who were there for the taking. There were green shoots of a half decent performance in there. Difficult to tell how much of it was down to WBA being awful and of course we failed to win again!! I still think that there’s hope for the next match after that. Although, I just can’t wait for the season to end. There has never been another season in my lifetime so polarised by quality of first half/second half.
  18. Not great but not awful either. If they hadn’t got such a soft penalty we would probably have been cruising. Mind you our penalty was soft too. Very much in the balance this one. They do seem to be a bit more up for it. Think it will end up 2-3 based upon very little. Let’s hope I am wrong! UTV
  19. Interesting selection. Looks like Dean wants an open game. He will certainly get one with that midfield. A lot will depend on whether we get awful or awesome AEG, Ross and Bert. Two of those turn it on and it could be really fun. Two of the three don’t show and it could get ugly. Almost certain that both teams will score today.
  20. He does look really good. Fast, strong, skilful and only 19! I would be very happy for us to take him as a development player at the right price.
  21. Well said. He has also come into a team struggling for any kind of form. Stick Bissouma behind him and Dougie and we will see a world of difference.
  22. I certainly have my doubts over Deano. It annoys me that each season we have had long spells of terrible form. It annoys me that he is very resistant to change. His subs annoy me. His love of McGinn annoys me. His Pep love fest the other night really annoyed me.......but.. I loved our 10 game winning run. I loved the play off final. I loved Liverpool. In fact I loved everything up until new year. I love that he is one of us. I love that he is decent. I love his relationship with Jack which is so crucial to us. It is not black and white. There are shades of grey everywhere. I think the fact that he is one of us just shades it for me at the moment. He deserves the start of next season. I think we will play better and win tomorrow. Hopefully that will start a period of better form. UTV
  23. I would go for similar but swap Bert for Ramsey. We do not have a single player capable of running with the ball other than him (Jack excluded). Bert has been ropey for sure but he does at least carry a threat. Nobody else does. We need to be more direct too and pick up second balls in the final third. I know it’s prehistoric and I don’t want it ever to be the norm but our inability to get in the final third in any other way is killing us.
  24. Yep. It’s a straight shoot out between Targett and Emi I think. Harsh on Jack of course but he will probably end up missing a third of the season.
