  1. I do wonder wether Deano will try a three at the back with Targett and Elmo as wing backs. I think it could work well for us and enable both Mings and Konsa to join in the attacks whilst helping to provide a bit more solidity at set pieces (which is a recurring weakness)
  2. Along with Jack, Tyrone is the biggest reason that we have come so far in the past 10 months. We have been awful at the back for years (even with JT we looked somewhat exposed at times) but he single handily rectified that over night. He is a joy to watch and a top bloke to boot!
  3. Wesley is rubbish blah blah blah! Championship player at best blah blah blah! Touch of a donkey blah blah blah. Never gonna be good enough blah blah blah! Alternatively, Wesley is a young kid doing an amazing job in ploughing a lone furrow for a newly promoted team who are the sixth highest scorers in the league. If he is so rubbish why are we scoring so many goals? Lay off the kid ffs. We are finally on an upward trajectory and we need to back and support the players. He can become a top player but it will take a bit of time.
  4. Southgate is the only person in the Country who understands why Jack hasn’t been picked yet. He is different to any other English player. No other can carry the ball as effectively as him or weight a pass so precisely. I love watching him play. He always has time on the ball. It’s effortless. I am pretty sure that if we don’t stay up he will go in the summer. Even if we do stay up I only think he will stay for one more season. He can play for pretty much anyone and he deserves to. Whatever happens we should all just enjoy it whilst we can. He is the best player ever to have come through our system in all my time as a fan and I doubt we will produce another of equal quality in the rest of my life.
  5. I think we can win the battle in the middle of the park today. We will also create good opportunities to score. They will be a real threat on the break though. This is impossible to call. I don’t think they are as strong a favourite for the win as the bookies are suggesting. It will be very interesting.
  6. Roy Keane for me. He would take us up a level or two single handed.
  7. Good point about Savo. It was the same for big Crouchy
  8. I thought he did pretty well. He worked hard. Linked the play well. The goal would have done him good but sadly not to be. I think he gets way too much stick on here. For a young guy he is doing well.
  9. He was so rubbish. So funny seeing Steve’s good old tactics of chasing a game by bringing on a unit and hoofing it forward. Totally nullified any threat they had!
  10. No Nakamba is very worrying. He is our only physical presence in the centre of the park. They could well dominate that area without him!
  11. So nervous now. All rational thought has exited my mind. The next few hours are going to be painful..........come on Ingerlund!!!!!!!
  12. Totally agree. Give the lad a break and actually try getting behind him. He has shown enough to make me think he can be a success. It will be easier if we back him rather than slaying him every week.
  13. Dean said an interesting thing in the press conference yesterday. He said that only Spurs had out played us so far this season. I absolutely agree with him. That is disappointing in a way because our points total does not reflect that but it also offers massive hope. If we all pull together I am sure we can turn it around. The part that we play, as fans, could be critical
  14. The team felt better balanced today. I would stick with the formation next week but maybe switch Trezeguet/AEG and Connor/Douglas. Both of those are splitting hairs really but I just feel that it would provide better balance. I also think we will win our next two games.............but wtf do I know!
  15. Absolutely needed to come and deal with the cross for their second today. He will be disappointed with that. Especially against Burnley.
  16. It could be worse. At least we are not Man City fans..............have you seen the kit they are wearing tonight? Now that’s embarrassing!
  17. Totally agree. He was in the last England squad ffs!
  18. He is clearly not doing great at the moment but he is a fast learner. He, like the players, is on an upward learning curve. He needs to learn fast or it will already be too late but we really need to avoid throwing the baby out with the bathwater! Fulham should have stuck by their man last season, they didn’t and it was curtains. Every game seems hard to take at the moment but we really are not getting the points that we deserve. That can change very quickly. Huge couple of games coming up but 6 points is achievable. That would certainly be a good start.
  19. No goals or assists this season. I know he is recovering from injury but he hasn’t offered much so far.
  20. He just looks like he is trying too hard at the moment. He is getting better with each game and I fully expect him to add goals and assists in time. He was a real handful last night.
  21. We keep missing opportunities to get points. This is something we cannot afford to do. Losing in that manner is very poor. Deano needs to improve things fast otherwise he won’t be around at Christmas!
  22. With you mate.3 points incoming
  23. I thought the midfield three worked very well last night. It was our most balanced midfield performance of the season so far. I don’t think Jack had his best game but he was still influential. He looks like he is trying a bit too hard to be brilliant. It will come for him.
