  1. A loan for a striker and a winger. I don't think we could find a reliable Keeper to sign now. But we could do with two to three loan signings which could really help us improve.
  2. Agree with it or not. We've really improved at home since this guy came. I don't think a team this far at the bottom would out-play top half teams at home this way. Btw, How long we haven't beat Alan Pardew for? was he the manager when Collins scored the winner under Houllier (I was at VP that game)?
  3. This guy has a great number of wins when playing? Especially when starting? In his first season. He came for Benteke early on and scored to win at Norwich. Then won against City, Watford and Southampton. He featured in all of our first round wins apart from Arsenal as he wasn't signed yet. Now he start again and, A win out of nowhere, lol. Anyway he was good (for what we have).
  4. Solid, and surprisingly good going forward. Good job Aly !
  5. He most have costed us some points. I remember him giving Leicester the corner which changed our season. I'm hoping this goal would change our season to the best. He gained us 4 points.
  6. The way I see it, we need to relay in our home games. Sounds weird but since Garde came we were playing really good at home. Man City, Watford, Arsenal, West Ham and Palace. and btw they're all top 10 teams. Apart from Arsenal "to a degree" we were good on all those games in terms of performances. I've said before the match that we could turn the corner in these two games. Turning the corner doesn't mean staying up. But going into the right direction. When you consider our performances at Everton, Southampton (before the goal), Newcastle (before the goal), Norwich and Sunderland there is a real difference on them. It might be something with confidence or something more. And all of them were bottom half. The way I see it, we are hard to beat at home yet hard to win. Away we could sneak results but are easy to beat. It sounds weird I know. But you could really see the change in terms of performance. For now we need to start Kozak, but we really need to get a new striker. A loan deal would be great for all. We are still playing, Newcastle, Norwich, Bournmouth at home. It's quite different this time as we seem to do good at home. We're missing a striker for those games. We have Everton, Southampton, Leicester and Spurs which are tricky games. Then we have Liverpool, Chelsea. Our vital away games are Swansea and West Brom. We have tricky fixtures away in West Ham, Stoke and Watford. Write offs in Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd. It's really a hard task. Very hard one. But if we could sneak couple of wins now (I know I know) it might get really tight then who knows. Someone mentioned that We'll play Newcastle and Bournmouth in the last couple of fixtures. Being in touch with them would only help. I'm not trying to get my hope back like last time. But what do we have other than hope? Havent anyone here got happy with the goal and the win? We usually win 5 games every round. Last season it began against West Brom in the last minute. Which ended the rot. Garde and the players are fighting. That's what we need. If we did, then who will not celebrate? If we didn't, then we all accepted relegation since couple of games. Against Sunderland when they scored, I went out and left the game between the halfs. I got back later and couldn't leave the game even though I thought it was the end of the season for us. Then before the Palace game I started looking forward to it as our performances at home were good. Bournemouth losing tonight was a bonus. I didn't think they were only 21 points. we couldn't depend on Norwich only. Last season I think we were 22 points after 24 games. Leicester were 19 after 29. Yet they finished above us. I know they're fixtures were nice at the end of the season. But if tonight we turned the corner the we have nice and bad fixtures come up. Anyway, I still think it's very very hard to achieve this, but we need to back the team for that.UTV Our main target now is to leave the bottom of the table. then try and catch Newcastle. In fact anything for us apart from the bottom of the table would be a bonus for us. Even not leaving those two teams to laugh at us would worth that fight !
  7. The next two games were the games which made us at this place. Leicestergame in particular. But also Palace game. We were better first half but unlucky. Then Amavi and Guzan gifted them the goal at the end. Lets revenge. You never know we might turn the corner from where we dont know. I know we all accepted relegation. But still we have some pride to play for. It would be lovely to be above Sunderland or more importantly the toon. I thought I wouldnt care about games this season. Yet i found myself waking up for the game Saturday and looking forward for tonight. Weve been quite better at home in the last couple of game. With Garde weve been ok at home. Its the pathetic performances away which really made it bad.
  8. Any optimism I had have gone after this **** performance. I just want to get out of the bottom now.
  9. We were going to beat both of them. Those were two games with Swansea which had us were we are now.
  10. I dont think any change would have made a difference at this game. West ham were closing areas. Last game I agree with you. Traore would clearly have made a difference. I dont think we have the mentality to gamble in the last couple of minutes yet. You could see the fear of players losing the ball in the injury team. Had we gambled more i think we would have lost. We only had 2 midfielders when Traore came. Veretout is developing to a real threat. A goal might do him only good.
  11. We couldnt afford to lose. We need to take momentum with us to the next two games. Everton are playing freely. They arent in our position. We dont know the taste of a win. We are just being able to come back to games. While saying that I think Garde not putting Adama last week in the last 15 minutes was a mistake.
  12. Newcastle have West Brom away next. Swansea got Palace away. Bournmouth got Arsenal away. Chelsea are having Man Utd away. Sunderland got Liverpool "cmon agent Benteke lol'. Could we reduce the gap by three points? A very good chance to do that Monday. I know weve said it against Watford and Newcastle. But if we win this it might be our biggest win in the recent years.
  13. Thanks Clevs. Couldnt have seen that coming. That could be a crucial moment in the season. The Guzan save at the end of our game and this goal.
  14. KJT. If we got 8 it would be fantastic. Especially if you had over take Sunderland with that. A lot of teams are in the mix now. Up to Southampton if they lost tonight are in the race. We cought Newcastle last season when we were 13 points behind them after we played them. Many teams could go in a bad runs. As Kevpants said, just try to improve and hope othera miss the plot. I might be an optimistic person, might be deluded. But as we are still fighting and have our chance. Things arent over yet.
  15. On a positive view, before Bournmouth won their three games they were in a dire form. They fought against Swansea and Everton and had it 2-2, 3-3. In a great come back. Which gave them the character to win at Chelsea then start gaining points. Building this character isnt an easy job. When you look at how West Ham were afraid to lose there points where everybody say they are much better and in a very confortable place you will be pleased with what you see. Id rather go down fighting than complete they shame performances we used to put. We are not in last year position to check how many points we need to get at the end of the season. Just try to take over whoever above you and hope results goes to your side. Being in touch with teams could make Lerner put much more money in the window. And who knows how things would go.
  16. Win Norwich and we could be 1 point to Sunderland before our game with them. They have a losable game, Im not sure who is it against. As I predict, the word removed continues their results against us. Next game they have Newcastle. If they lost theyd reall get back to the mix. If they win theyd help us by putting Newcastle at pressure. We have played Newcastle when theyve been in from. And now theyre drawing with Everton. Weve lost to Watford who went in a great run after that withiout losing. West ham werent scoring yet werent scoring or losing at the same.
  17. The only bad result was really Swansea winning. Our result wasnt enough for now. But to come back from losing in two games on bounce at these circumstances isnt eaay. We showed more character and fight than Newcastle. Our perfomances against West Ham,Newcastle, Watford and City doesnt suggest we are last. Its just we are in a position with every minute is crucial. The damage was too much. We are being consisntly better. We are still not winning though. Last season we had 9 wins in only four runs of games. The only win that hadnt come with another was Spurs away. We were dire for most of the season. We all know that our mission is really really hard. But thats not only about quality. Its our position. Us who are looking at the full cup are seeing that we are not the worst team in terms of performances. We are getting mentally stronger. Even then we are only talking about 20% of chance of staying up which could get higher or lower depending on every match. Players are fighting and thats the most important thing. If they were already surrendering then I will. We will still live on hope. Its hard to talk with people about premier league these days people take laugh on our position but hopefully we could somehow shut their mouths lol.
  18. As Ive said before. Now lets think how could we catch Sunderland. Then Swansea. Then think how to get out of the ****. Many here were talking about going down with fighting. How could we fight without hope? We all know how hard is it to win two in row for us let 3. But its not imposdible. A first win would give us hope and fight. Have you seen how Ayews goal changed the team?once we click on we could get back to the race. Then from there we could sneak it somehow. We all agree its really hard. But ive really seen much worse Villa team playing.
  19. Guys. Watford were only 16 points before they played us. They won and build confidence. Now they are on 28 ! Had they lost they mightve be a relegation rivals. Same goes with Bournmouth, three wins on bounce, and look where they are. I know three would be hard. But two and a draw in our next 3 would change our shape. For me just lets try to fight and try to catch Sunderland.just being 19th would give us much confidence to build on.
  20. Bacuna is one of the few players in the last couple of seasons who could score and assist. That with mentioning that he plays a fb most of the time. Definitly I would play him over Hutton most of the time. Hes doing ok as a lb also. Maybe we could try him left with Traore right in a 442.
  21. If we somehow stayed up. That would mean players will be in a great form. We could build on from there. Something like Leicester. We are not into risk of losing our best players if we stayed up. Unlike last season. And we are definitly not this bad in terms of quality. Im not saying we wont be on the bottom 3 but definitly not this bad. Our main problem is/was mentality. Had we win Palace or Leicester games things wouldve looked better. After Garde game the only realistic game to win was Watford, Newcastle we havent won there for gods know how long. We had some encouraging results against City and Saints. Reasonable one against Newcastle. Good performances against City, watford second half of Newcastle. We are definitly improving. The question is when are we going to improve mentally and win a game? Are we far enough to surrender or e could somehow fight and survive? If its only about quality, Chelsea and Swansea wont be where they are.
  22. Sanchez and Gana are better in terms of tackling. Its just theyre prones to errors. They play with fire a lot. I think if they build their confidence up they will be better. Jordan is much more gifted. If we had him and Amavi and Ayew with Delph and Benteke. It would have been a different story. Its an early days, but you could see a glimpes in Veretout which we havent seen for too long at Villa.
  23. Everytime him or Sanchez get the ball, youd think theywould lead a goal to the other end. Saying that, ive seen many game which suggest hes ok atleast.
