Depends if we are able to get players or not, if not Im afraid we wont attract a proper name then I would stay with Bruce. We were against the FFP. I think we were one of 6 clubs, and if Im not mistaken one of them was, dare to say it, Fulham. When you think of what theyve done, you really have to admire them. We came and bought there best player, theyve paid nothing, yet build a team which everyone feared. I thought they were done down there when we took Ross, turned out we were the ones to laugh at. gladly we got away with it this time.

Yeah I agree with that, there are alot of differences than the case of Benteke, Yet Benteke stayed at the end even with handing a transfer letter. Speaking about Benteke, depending on who Palace get, Why dont we get him on loan with a view of buying? No one seem to rate now apart from us. I’ve even seen him commenting about a picture on Instagram posted by Grealish saying (Great Days) which was the win against Liverpool at Wembley. Weve got Snodgrass last season on loan while they were rating him by 12m. I know Im reading a lot into this, especially when we consider FFP, but it will be the right move for Benteke and Villa.

Well you could add to that, that he is a Villa so he might not want to force the club to accept the worse offer. Add to that that he's still young. Although Tottenham seem to be a time that all the promising young players would like to join, they would go directly to the national team.

Well, he is one of our best players around, I wouldnt be sure wether he would have done better for the team last year (as some says because of his selfishness). But would you rather see Kodjia or any other striker which we had in the last couple of years (apaert from Benteke), let alone Hogan or even Grabban (who was fine). I usually prefer powerful strikers in our side, maybe because our team has forget how to play a proper football for a while ? Davis gave the team a boost when he came against Preston, that attack at the end of the game gave me faith on him again. To be honest, until now weve lost Johnstone, Terry, Snodgrass and added Kodjia to last season squad. I would say the biggest lost was in Johnstone (It was really bad that "they" took him before the new takeover). We need couple of our youngsters to step up soon. Would Green be able to replace Snoddy? Can we depend on Kodjia as a winger with Davis upfront? At the end of the day our current spine of the team are: JJJ, James, Jack, Jonathan. Not really enough, although suddenly the midfield seem alright with Birker and Hourihane, not sure about Jedinak, I would keep him if its not having a big effect.

We will eventually lose him, Spurs would do to. We need him this season, he needs to settle more, then if we go up he could stay another year and then go by mega money. If we do the process well we could build a proper team. I would go to say Jack is the difference between promotion or stay in this league. Now we could tell Levy pay what we want or just try somewhere else. Jack is still gonna hold his value even with one year in his contract. I dont think he would go for free or refuse to sign a new deal with an agreement to go. Even the snake has done that. Who would we get in the championship to be with us once we go up? 30m could be nothing if it used badly down there.

But is we keep our best players we will still have one of the best squads in the league, so its not the other way round when we were in the Premier League, he could help us play an attacking game. We have our DeBruyne and Lukaku, but we are missing our Hazard. ?

His connections too would be helpful I guess, we could attract a lot of young French/Belgian players, and atm also couple of Arsenal Loans I’d say. It would give us more attention too, but all of that wont be the target if he is not going with us up. When you think of our defnce build up last season you’d that say Bruce is a good choice, but in terms of attacking and finding solutions, you’d get disappointed again. Some people say they would like Henry as a second man, but coming from Belgium to Championship is hardly an upgrade.

But we are Villa, we can’t imagine things would go the right way until it does. Even last season when everything was going well, it ended in tears. Although if we could really go up this season, and these owners had the real plan, our loss to Fulham could turn out to be a blessing. I would like to think it that way but this year the Championship is much stronger, and we are Villa, so nothing guaranteed. ?

Im not sure whats the FFP situation atm, but, if there was a way to keep him this season I’d say thats the best thing fot all parties. His value is only going to rise, we will need his creativity this season if we would like to have a go at the promotion race. He would get the game time he needs guaranteed to develope more. Which would lead us either to the Promotion and then he could kick it with us another season up there. If we failed to go up, then he could be sold by the value we would like him to go with which is more than 40m atleast. Which would help us on our rebuild with going back to the problem we had this season when we failed to go up.

Trying to discuss something positive might help a bit. Although I agree I dont think todays game could be forgotten.

Things are looking very bad. To be honest I couldnt see the PL before the match buy I was really hopeful. Poor play and even poor decisions from the manager and the ref. Kodjia should have come earlier. Anyway lets see how summer would go to know what chance do we have for next season. Only the thought of it is frightenning.

Thinking of the playoffs is a nightmare. Im trying to think half of the time how would we do if we stayed in the Championship. And still hoping fro Derby to somehow get 5th.

When you think this guy is a replacement of Amavi, and we left Ayew and Veretout? We really had some individuals when we went down. Hd we just kept Benteke for that season things would have been different. But hope we can do it and go up this season. Thinking a lot of playoffs get more stress!

A draw for them, and two draws for Cardiff (assuming we win against them), then that would go to the GD between all teams. Us to win all of our games and we might do it that way. Infact lets just play one game at a time and hope for the best.

If we could do it and win tomorrow, we need Fulham to fail in one game, while Cardiff to fail in 2 games out of 5. Assuming we win all of our 6 games. Fulham arent losing but theyve drew against QPR, so they still can draw and we are back on track with them. We have a similar GD, assuming we win more than the two of them we will have a better GD. So we could hope on that. Ofcourse we have Norwich then Cardiff themselves. Lets win these and see how it goes.

I remember under Sherwood we had one of our best forms in the PL. Before going to Wembley weve bottles it by losing 6-1 to Southampton when Mane battered us. Weve then lost to a relegated Burnley then had one of our worse games at Wembley, weve lost belief. We cant afford to go to the playoffs with that mentality. And we still have a slim chance for an automatic spot. We need to keep fighting.

We just need to win. A win tomorrow would be huge, it will atleast make us on par with Fulham, and keep chasing Cardiff. I know we will regret it if we fail to win with Cardiff failing to win next game. I would have liked Wolves to lose so they could be in their best against Cardiff. But Boro to lose isnt a bad result as we would like them out of the playoffs. Anotger important thing to mention, we need to keep focusing as teams down there are getting near, we dont want to do "Derby" and be in a dangerous situation regarding playoffs. Tomorrow is a huge game for us, mentally and also getting back to track.
