It's very simple this club has been crying out for manager like Bruce there are better managers out there for sure but what Bruce brings is just what we needed we needed someone to give the players self belief ,get us more organised defensively ,cut out the individual defensive errors which were killing us .The football isn't great and we have a lot of work to do especially going forward where we look disjointed and are relying on individual moments more than any fluid passing movements but we had to start winning games somehow and getting the team right defensively was the first step plenty of work to do but very pleased with how it's going under Bruce .Thought we deserved the win today Jedinak and Kodjia outstanding and Amavi looks like he is getting back to his old self great to be feeling positive about the villa again .

Decent point in the end thought they were the better side especially 2nd half ,we defended very well and our workrate was excellent .You can see what Bruce has brought already we are certainly harder to beat and we look like we have a plan which makes a change from the last few years .We were awful going forward struggled to hold onto possession,I would prefer to see Gestede as our main striker as I don't think that role suits Kodjia he isn't great in the air and that is something you need to play as the lone striker in the system we are playing ,he was isolated today for long periods and was the main reason why we struggled to get anything going upfront .Amavi Baker Chester and Gardner were good Jedinak was the best player on the pitch you can see why we signed him now .A good result and we are certainly heading in the right direction .

I agree automatic promotion will be very tough have 11 pts to make up but we have some very winnable games between now and the New Year and you would be thinking the gap should be less than 11 come the new year we are up against it because of our start but wouldn't bet against us making a automatic promotion push .

Honestly thought we were going to struggle to make play offs beat the blues and we will have serious momentum I feel we could even make a stab at automatic promotion if we can get ourselves around the playoffs by Xmas this division is all about momentum and grinding results and we are starting to do that . .

That's a massive win back to back wins we are starting to build momentum,Bruce has been a breath of fresh air I know it's early days but he has turned things around even the like of Hutton ,Baker ,Bacuna and Gardner who have struggled the majority of games they have played in a Villa jersey look like proper players they have been excellent since Bruce has come in tactically Bruce has been good too proper game plan and right subs at right time ,thought promotion wasn't happening but beat the blues and we will take stopping momentum is building big time .

He hasn't set the world alight but you can see he has a touch of class about him ,I can see him becoming a very important player for us as season progresses .Yes we are weak in the middle and have plenty of striking options but what happens in Jan when Kodjia Ayew and Gestede are gone to the Nations Cup with there countries Ross has a massive part to play for us think he will prove to be a very good signing .

Cannot understand people saying Chester has been poor for us he has been our best defender by a country mile he hasn't put a foot wrong he is a really decent player at this level he just goes about his job no fuss which we had a few more like him

The man wants to be manager of Aston Villa it's the biggest job he has had and he wants to make the most of it .The big difference between him and our previous managers over the last 3/4 seasons is his experience he has been there and done that at this level and he knows what he wants and how to do it he seems to be the right man at the right time he is just what we need he isn't world class he is no GUardiola but we don't need him to be in this division ,it's early doors but things seem different already under Bruce .

This is our biggest game in about 3 years need to build on the Reading win need to stop taking 1 step forward and the 3 backwards and I can't remember the last time we won back to back ,we have to start turning our home draws into wins we do that and we will be right in the promotion mix .

Huge win and no better way to win it than a injury time winner it's usually been the other way round .Performance wasn't brilliant but they don't need to be in this division it's more about grinding out results .We were much more solid and consistent in the war we played we got a solid 90 minute performance which hasnt happened all season we have either been very good in one half and shocking in the other .We looked like the team was picked with a game plan in mind for Reading everyone knew there job and were playing as a team and not as individuals .I know it's early days but things feel different under Bruce he just seems to be the right man for the job at the right time which hasn't happen since MON .This is the start of us turning a corner and becoming a decent side again I can feel it in my bones .

Fitness is a issue there was a stat last year that showed we covered the least amount of KM of any team in PL and we certainly have been our ran in a lot of our games again this season ,think our last couple of pre seasons especially have been poor and the players obviously don't have the work done and if it isn't done in pre season will struggle to get fit during the season as we have games every 3 days in champ .

Midfield has been s problem fir years with us teams just play through us we lack energy there which is a receipe for disaster in the Champ where games are end to end you needs players that can cover the ground .I think our structure is also a issue aswell which has been alluded to on here seems to be no balance to our side with players not covering each other you can see our midfield and at times our full backs look very exposed .

He has been consistently poor he just cannot defend or he has lost the ability to defend he offer nothing zilch to us he shouldn't be anywhere near the team .

He isn't playing that well but who is at the moment ? You can see he is a decent player he has proven that consistently over the last few seasons ,think his biggest problem at the moment is none of our team seems to be on the same wavelength as each other and that is making everyone poorer that they are.

This promotion/playoff hope is becoming just a pipe dream with every passing week really need to start getting a few wins on the board looks more like a battle to stay out of League 1 rather than a challenge for the Premier League,

Was a dreadful display we looked like we had no shape about us at all and we lacked energy and looked absolutely knackered with half hour to go because of this we were unable to press and wolves were able to build attacks very easy .I thought we played more direct tonight but Kodjia struggled in the air against the wolves defence was a game crying out Gestede and with Ayew also coming on those 2 could have made a big difference but injuries robbed us of that option .Our biggest failing and we have a few is we look very disjointed players seem to be playing as individuals rather than a team ,We need to get a settled system/formation and Bruce will need to figure out his best 11 quickly I know with the results being poor and with injuries a huge amount of games etc the team will have to be tweaked at times but not the amount of chopping and changing we have had ,today was the fourth different RB we have had start this season another new midfield combo another different pairing upfront and another new formation .It isn't hard to understand why we look like we haven't played together before and how our ball retention is so poor .I realise this isn't SB fault but we really need to start playing the same players together regularly ,I realise we have more problems than this but figuring out what our best team is would be a massive help ,the players we have bought have all done well at other clubs and done well in this division before they can't all have become poor overnight so a bit of consistency with team selection would help players and mangement alike ,I think we look like a poorly organised side at the moment and hopefully Bruce can change that and with a bit of cohesion think we would be a very decent side .

Bruce is the best manager currently available that we could have got ,he has 1 thing different from our last few managers and that is bucket loads of experience and his man mangement skills are supposedly excellent ,no doubt he has his faults and he isn't world class but neither are we at the minute it could be a good fit and 1 of these new gaffers is eventually going to be the right 1 so why not Bruce .Best of luck to him he has come to a massive club potential is huge just needs right man to unlock it .

Problem is we won't give a manager a chance to build a dynasty after a few bad results we will be calling for his head unfortunately most of these managers that build a club up need time managers that give the club a immediate boost usually don't work out its hard I agree that we prob need a manager that will implement a style and give the club a identity I think that will just take time and realistically the new manager won't get that .

It's a massive appointment have to get this one right or we could end up being another Leeds.I like the sound of Wagner he gas done well at Huddersfield and think he would be the type of manager that could help build the club up again but I suppose he is still unproven so maybe Bruce would be the more solid option he has a great record of getting teams promoted ,I would be happy with either of these two ,but in saying that was happy with the RDM and Garde appointments aswell so I probably not the best judge on managers !

Was firmly behind RDM camp until today ,thought he was the right man for the job but I think I'm completely wrong on this one team selection was wrong and the players looked like that the confidence was gone completely. Our start is simply unacceptable and we look like we aren't improving so would be in favour of a change now it isn't ideal but it will have to be done RDM looks lost and has lost the fans .

The points total is unacceptable but we can still move up the table things change quickly in this division ,think the players are playing for the menager you can see that with the effort that is being put in in every game I think it's just poor finishing and a small bit of luck and we will turn around the results ,I'm not saying RDM is the greatest manager in the world just saying I think he has been unlucky in a lot of different ways and I wouldn't blame him entirely for our position if we are still in the same position come end of October I would def be in the RDM out camp but at the moment I am not would like to see him given more time .

Its a 46 game season a long way to go yet RDM been key down by his players performances have been good not taking our chances and individual errors costing us not all RDM fault .

I desperately want RDM to succeed ,our results haven't been good enough ,I don't think it's all down to the manager but he has to take his share of the blame though the buck stops with him ,I would give him 5 games to see if results do improve otherwise get rid he will have had 15 games by then and we really should be getting results by then otherwise RDM is the wrong man for the job .

Was his worst game in a villa shirt he isn't a top class defender but he is a top class leader really like the way he stopped Kodjia and Tish celebrating he wanted to go on and win the game it's more players like him that we need .

Thought he was poor defensively again but good going forward will only improve with the more games he plays if he could get his positioning better he would be a super player he just gets caught out a bit too much .
