  1. Big win we are turning into a right good side very impressive tonight ticked all the boxes .
  2. It's a massive win was so important to respond after last week ,I'm not Bruce's biggest fan but he got it right today and to be fair we are playing well in the majority of games and we are building momentum ,we have got the squad to go up my biggest fear is goals we need to get either Kodjia or Hogan if he gets a chance firing if that happens we are in a great place would really fancy us to go up .
  3. On a personal level I like Bruce in interviews etc he comes across as a nice bloke and I hope he will lead us to promotion I believe he can ,he is a functional manager he has massive experience and is a safe pair of hands but he doesn't excite me it's all about results and I believe we will make playoffs at least this year and he could very well lead us to promotion but if we do get to the Premier League and we do belong there and belong in the top half with it at the very least ,but we will not achieve it under this man a young progressive manager who can get us playing football where we mind the ball and attack with pace is what's needed to get us back to where we belong I am not a Bruce hater far from it but I would still see us better served with a fresher footballing mind and tonight's game against Wolves only confirmed that for me .
  4. At the moment we are a top 6 side at the most ,Wolves outclassed us if we are being honest ,we lacked legs today we looked slow and wolves looked the opposite but all is but lost we have a few that can come in that can make a difference Onomah O Hare and Grealish can certainly improve things going forward if we were to play 1 of them and I would give hogan a go upfront with Davis I think he could be a key to our promotion push he is a poacher and would work well off Davis .-Kodjia has been poor he doesn't look sharp after missing pre season and his attitude had been dreadful ,Bruce had to stick with a winning team but he can change it up now all is not lost but we must improve especially on the ball
  5. We were outclassed no complaints ,Wolves are a proper side ,we struggle to hold onto the ball and against sides with a lot of pace we struggle ,we don't have a lot of legs in our team ,all is not lost but I can't see us finishing above Wolves at the seasons end.
  6. Scrappy win but it's a win and that's all that matters it's all about results this is a game that we would have dropped points in last year ,losing Taylor is a blow with no specialist cover at LB would imagine Hutton or De Laet would be front runners to slot in there would prefer them to Bjarnason
  7. Long way to go but we are getting there,we are scoring goals ,not conceding at the other end ,we have a very decent squad it's just trying to get it all to knit together and we are starting to do that long way to go and much harder games to come but we are finally looking like we are ready to challenge .
  8. He's underrated ,he is poor on the ball alright but so is Jedinak does a lot of work that goes unnoticed he gets heavily criticised but not sure if it's all warranted he has made mistakes but still every team needs a player like him in it a bit of dog in him .
  9. I thought we were decent ,not our best performance but certainly no where near our worst plenty of room for improvement but we were better side yesterday and deserved the win .
  10. Cannot understand the negativity on here ,we won ,performance was decent ,plenty of positives and a few negatives.Played well first half controlled the game should have been more than 1 up .Second half Forest were better got a break for there goal and we showed character to go back in front this is defo a game we would have dropped points in last year .We will have to improve no doubt but we are heading in the right direction we are finally getting goals ,the biggest worry I would have is that we struggle to maintain possession our ball retention is very poor at times but we are a Steve Bruce team like it or lump it we will invite teams on soak up the pressure and hit teams on the break it's his way not pretty but has got him results in the past I would prefer if we were playing better football but it's all about results and promotion I'm nit going to complain if we get the results like I said thought we were better team tonight deserved the win it wasn't a very good performance but was decent one onward and upwards from here it's all about momentum.
  11. Great result ,good performance more of the same please, hopefully this will be catalyst for us to kick on need to start getting consistent besides this 1 step forward 2 steps backwards rubbish over the last year.
  12. I would have been very supportive of Bruce due to my beliefs of giving a manager time but I think he has had enough time ,it's his squad now and he is struggling to get the best out of them results or performances haven't been good enough. There has been no progress and that's the worrying thing ,I'm all for stability and we can't keep changing mangers like we have been but in saying that you can't keep a manager in place for the sake of it ,if you are not moving forwards ,you are either staying the same or going backwards and that has been our story under Bruce ,September is a huge month for him we have to start showing signs of moving forward or he will be unemployed again whatever record he has of getting teams promoted is no good to us it's all about the present ,I hope I'm wrong I think everyone wants to see us succeed whatever way possible but I think Bruce is going to be under serious pressure he has lost majority of fans and the board is heading that way too the time is now for him he needs to start getting it right or else he will have messed up the biggest job he has ever had .
  13. He has no money whatsoever to spend ,Bristol came through there bad run of form and impressed me when we played them a couple of weeks ago ,think we have to start looking at young energetic managers whose teams play the game at pace and Johnson teams certainly fit that criteria.
  14. Lee Johnson from Bristol City would be my choice ,young energetic manager who would get best out of players we have .
  15. We would have lost a game like this last season no doubt ,showed a bit of character when we went behind for once ,we are developing a really decent squad with Snodgrass,Kodjia and Jedinak to add to what we had tonight ,biggest worry is Bruce doesn't know what his best side is ,but we are heading in right direction.
  16. We aren't the finished article by any means and need to find some consistency aswell need to find some away form starting fri night,Hutton was poor struggles with those quick wingers would personally play De Laet there if we can get him match fit he's our best RB still though in my opinion it was a top performance our best since Tim Sherwood time .
  17. Great to get a win ,manager and players deserve credit for top performance ,Hutton was only negative.
  18. We basically need a big lad up top, really surprised that we haven't got one before know Bruce is basically signing players that doesn't suit the type of football he plays as regards him being a dinosaur and playing negative football unfortunately a lot of negative football is needed to get out of champ ,Benitez Karanka ,Dyche ,Bruce himself and managers like Warnock and McCarthy have got promoted in the past and are top of League at the moment are all negative defensive minded managers ,only Wagner and Eddie Howe have been really progressive possession based managers who sides played good football. So having a defensive manager can get you up our problem is the type of players we have our strikers are poor with back to goal ,we have to get someone in that can win headers and hold ball up if we continue to play this way there is no right and wrong way to play but you definitely need to play a way to suit the players you have ,Bruce is the wrong type of manager for the players we have and unfortunately it's his own fault as he has bought majority of them ,he is a dead man walking unless he brings in a couple of physical players in attwcking positions .
  19. I would have been firmly in the Bruce camp until before the Cardiff game ,it wasn't that I thought he was a great manager or anything just that he was a pragmatic one ,thought he would build us up from the back we would be solid get 1-0 wins and get us promoted football wouldn't be pretty but he would get the job done .I felt we would prob have to end up getting a better more modern manager after a year or 2 after Bruce kept our head above water in the Premier League.Sadly it looks like I'm very wrong the biggest problem I see is he is trying to play a game that doesn't suit our players ,Hogan and when he comes back Kodjia aren't target men they aren't great in the air need ball to feet but we do the opposite ,he has played both Lansbury and Hourihane in deep lying roles both are box to box midfielders .We can't hold possession again because we have any 1 up front to hold to ball up and get us into the game ,he has no excuse because these are nearly all players that he has bought ,I think our squad is nearly the best in the league but isn't being utilised correctly ,if you want to play long ball football you have to have the players for it we don't we have a side that would be much better playing on the deck ,what worries me is that he will get ten games to turn it around I can't see him doing it and again we will be too far behind to mount a challenge going to be another long year unless things change fast .
  20. Hogan is the key to our promotion charge this year if he catches fire we go up ,think we will be solid at the back it's goals that worry me if we can supply Hogan it will be vital .Kodjia has proved he can score just needs more help .Get Hogan scoring and a few more regular scorers from midfield and we will be hard to stop .
  21. Any news on when Richie will be back haven't seen him in any of the games to date ?
  22. I never said Bruce was the only one to like this type of player.I agree with you he will be popular with fans .
  23. He is what he is ,he isn't going to give you loads of assists or goals but he will put in a shift tackle ,and protect our back line he is a very solid dependable player and Bruce like this type of player can see him been a vital cog in our promotion push ,will be a decent signing .
  24. Deserves his contract and think he will surprise a few people has plenty to offer us this season .
  25. Changing another manager after 6 months isn't the answer ,performances have been poor and results mixed but he needs to be given pre season and another window to judge him he has sorted the defence and we needed to start somewhere and we are a work in progress .I realise we have spent a lot of money and we have to improve we won't go up the way we have being but we have to give him a chance to get it right .
