The more I see of him the more I think he isn't the type of player we can build a team around .He is too individualistic,he shows flashes of brilliance but isn't the best at holding the ball up or winning aerial duels he will make a decent no 2 striker but can never see him becoming a player you can build a side around .

We were decent in patches a bit like our season really ,we need to be better and more consistent ,we are basically out of the play off race so time to build a team for next season find a formation that suits us and find some form and build the confidence back up .Sacking Bruce would be absolutely mental we have tried that and it doesn't work it's one of the reasons we are in the shit the constant chopping and changing .There was positives Hogan looks a player and Hourihane is the type of midfielder we need give him time and he will do the business ,we are not ready for the Premier League will only go backwards by going up with a bit of patience from us all we will be a lot better side this time next season .

It could be done privately like most managers do,lots of indiscipline goes on in other clubs that we never hear about ,By putting it into the public domain Bruce is either trying to get a reaction out of him and get him going or else he wants the fans to get on his back and ship him out would have kept it all in house otherwise it's very rare you see a manager savage a player like that in public .

Bruce is just after throwing him under the bus ,it obviously is to get a reaction from him it will be either a stroke of genius and Ross will catch fire and have a great 2nd half to the season or this will be the beginning of the end for him at Villa .

Bruce speaks a lot of sense ,I like him a lot he is old school and doesn't accept any rubbish from players this has been going on at villa for years ,will be interesting to see how far we have come by end of season when he has a few of his own signings settled in I'm looking forward to 2nd half to season can see us really developing into a decent side .

Were a lot of positives today very good for 60 mins if Bree and Hourihane come in it is only stronger we can get wouldn't right off the playoffs just yet ,Lansbury did more in 78 mins than the rest of our midfielders have done all season .

At the moment our biggest problem is the basics ,the amount of times we give away the ball is frightening ,we are very easy to play against teams are pressing up on us knowing that we will either give the ball away or be forced to lump it forward to 2 strikers who are running in the air it doesn't take a genus to set up against us at the minute ,we need to get the basics right need to mind the ball much better.Promotion isn't really a runner and honestly we aren't ready for PL football anyway .

Yes I couldn't agree with you more did a decent job in really tough conditions ,think he will be a better manager after his tine at villa.

We have a poor midfield it's killing us it has done so for 5 years it needs sorting in Jan ,we prob need 3 players in this transfer window to make a serious go off getting promoted .As regards Grealish I wasn't at the game today and fair enough if he was fouled off the ball but regardless of this he has been a major dissappointment for me he should be tearing this league up this is the English 2nd division ,he is the player that we all thought could be a future international in reality he is lucky to be starting in a Villa side crying out for creativity ,other than a late goal and s few cameo appearances off the bench he has been poor ,expected him to really Kickstart his career this season but sadly he hadn't kicked on at all .

Last nights game was a game we would have lost earlier in the season ,Bruce has picked up 25 pts from 39 we are a couple of midfielders short who can pass the ball ,sort this and we will make playoffs comfortably delighted with the impact Bruce has made.

We have picked up 25 pts out of a possible 39 under Bruce it is almost 2 pts a game if that continues we will make playoffs ,our biggest problem is the players we have ate more suited to hitting teams on the break more so than dominating possession and breaking teams down ,we have lots of pace upfront but this is nullified when teams sit deep against us which most teams do as we are a big name club teams park the bus we lack that bit of quality to break teams down and we need more physicality in the attacking third the likes of Ayew/Grealish/Adomah and McCormack are lightweight you might get away with 1/2 of those type of players but we have too many and teams are bullying is out of it ,we are only a couple of players short of being a really good side Jan is vital and hopefully Bruce can address a few of our problems he had already done a decent job in making us hard to beat it's now time to move us into next level .

We don't play as a team at all especially going forward there is little or no link up play too many players playing as individuals look at how Leeds play everything is done with w purpose and everybody know what the next player can or can't do we have too many players trying to do things they can't Hutton can't cross the ball Ayew and Kodjia trying to take on the opposition defence on there own ,Jedinak can't pass the ball needs to give it to a player who will our weaknesses keep getting shown up against better sides we need 3/4 players who are decent on the ball because that is our biggest problem Jan is vital for us ,it isn't all negative we are putting in a shift and are picking up points we shouldn't hopefully Bruce can get the few quality players we need in Jan if he does we could really take off because we certainly have the nucleus of a decent side there .

Ross needs a run of games he isnt sharp which his game is all about he missed pre season through injury and has a few niggling injuries since he needs to complete a few 90 mins and we will see the best of him .

Big win we were much better 2nd half,have a run of real winnable games now ,we weren't awful but weren't great either if we start to click upfront we will a really decent side with no reason to fear anyone .

Think the next ten games will be crucial for us like SB said today pick up 20-22 pts in those games and we will be on track for playoffs think Bruce has done well and it has also been a tough run of fixtures ,2 derbies ,Leeds ,Brighton,Reading,and Norwich away ,we are heading in the right direction it will take time but we are getting there .

I suppose the worrying aspects of our push for promotion is that we have yet to beat any team other than Reading who will be involved in the promotion battle ,now we have played the majority of these teams away as well but it's still worrying there is much more in this side we need more goals which is our biggest issue ,our forwards haven't clicked and we have little creativity in the midfield sort this in Jan and we will go from strength to strength our next 10 games are crucial .

Awful performance and certainly the worst since Bruce arrived our retention of the ball was awful we have so many players who don't look comfortable on the ball and we have players such as Ayew and Kodjia who just play as individuals and run down cut de sacs ,it's hard to understand how our front men are so isolated when they do get a touch how do we never have players up in support ,it's really worrying there us such a lack of creativity think we need to change it up fir Sunday Bacuna /McCormack and Adomah need to start I trust Bruce he has a track record of getting teams promoted and we have been decent results wise since he came in but the last 3/4 performances have been poor we need to be much better if we have a chance of promotion .

We are grinding out results big time under Bruce vital if we are to get promoted ,performance poor but result is all that matters .

We have become a functional team under Bruce we have improved a lot defensively the individual errors bar yesterday have stopped ,our biggest problem is we aren't taking our chances we they arrive we had enough yesterday I a cagey game to get something out of it and the same against Brighton we are certainly 1 of the better sides in the division and when we click upfront you can see us going from strength to strength Bruce is new to the job and hopefully he learned something about his players yesterday and you often learn more in defeat than victory .

It's a tough league and mistakes cost us today ,but we were unbeaten in 7 and we have improved massively under Bruce we still aren't the finished article and mistakes are killing us ,didn't think Leeds we better than us today but you have to take your chances and you can't give away soft goals .Our home form is key we keep winning our home games and pick up a few away wins and we will be bang in the promotion picture come May Wigan at home is very winnable and we are back on track again tonight was disappointing but we are heading in right direction .

Things are really looking up you can't beat that winning feeling ,we have improved dramatically under Bruce .

Good appointment ,has plenty of experience in champ as a assistant exactly what we needed really solid coaching team been put together ,shows how much people like working for Bruce all his mangement team left clubs to come to us big bonus that Bruce can get the coaching staff he wants in .

Massive performance ,totally different side under Bruce great to see Villa playing with heart and passion again ,it's early days but we are going place under Bruce great to be feeling positive about villa again .

He has looked like a different player the last couple of games ,it's a disaster that he has to go to the other side of the world again for International duty really going set him back a good bit he will be knackered after it .

Wouldn't be his biggest fan but he has improved under Bruce still think we should be after a RB in Jan.
