So happy that he signed that contract with us. He was nailed on to be Gundogan's replacement if that City clause was still there..

This would be a great signing, but I cannot see him choosing us over Bayern..

Although my finger has not been on the pulse with speculation, I have seen some UCL names linked with our club. I will say that, we may be able to tempt a player with a strong financial package and infrastructure for a project but we will still find it very difficult to attract the calibre of player that we want. A lot work has to go into; Continuous Progression Strong Identity Brand Attributes off the field Growing reputation at European level competition. Our performances outside of England will have to create the desire for players to want to join us, not only because of UE or Financial reasons. The point that I’m trying to make is that, we are at the beginning of something special hopefully and because we don’t sign big names doesn’t mean we are not progressing.. Good things come to those that wait..

Hmm.. The buck stops with him.. He has to publicly address the fans this summer..

The marketing roll out has been poor. That video should have been the first piece of content on all Villa platforms.. That would have got us on side. The statement and release of the photos should have come after.. The video itself is a masterpiece.. Yet i cannot find the video on any Villa platforms??

Having multiple badges is terrible for Brand identity.. It means no clear direction in terms of Brand image.. Terrible decision.. This needs to be sorted ASAP

The kit is s*** Having two logo's is terrible brand image for the club.. Having two logo's can be interpreted as the club does not have a clear direction in terms of image!! Heck needs to sort this out..

Hmm the statement is odd.. I guess this a marketing decision. Maybe if Purslow was here the new crest would be everywhere. Heck probably thinks the badge could be improved.. This is wierd AF.. How many clubs have two different badges ?

Exciting appointment because of his reputation and stature.. He has a lot of control and is part of a restructure at the club.. I wonder if this means that there will be some type of overhaul? I did watch some of Monchi's videos, he prided his youth recruitment on local talent because they would have a good balance between family and football. I wonder if we will continue to try poach the best talent in the Midlands and devlop them into first team players.. NSWE have made strong appointments at board level so far so i am confident this will follow suit..

It’s very much real now in terms of what we need in terms of depth. We have some decent prospects that can help fill the gaps.. Its a great opportunity for our youngsters to break into the squad and contribute but realistically we are going to need some 5 more additional signings.

Why is there a good chance that this will fall though if it doesn't't happen today? & why does this have to be completed today?

I am excited by this potential appointment.. I have watched his masterclass videos on YouTube and he has a vast amount of knowledge and depth and he no doubt cream of the crop. My worry is whether he will try to change the current Academy structure with Mark Harrison, and whether his thesis will translate well over to British football culture. He is used to building the academy for players to succeed in Spanish football, I do think the approach would need be a very different in England.. But I am also aware that with risk comes reward..

The club functions like any other business so I am sure there are Operational departments such as Finance, IT , HR ect so we are not really going to know the full structure of the day to day running of the football club. The changes that are being mentioned are more ExCo related but i am sure the day to day runnings will be BAU..

Does anyone think with CP leaving and Monchi pending that we will continue to focus bringing through talent? Does our recruitment policy change?

You are not the only one. He understood the values, classiness, heritage of THIS football club. I am unsure whether Heck and the new DOF will grasp what this club really means to English football and most importanty the fans. CP was a throwback.. He knows about the 82 European Cup, he knows about Deadly Doug he knows the club inside out..

Wow.. I am not happy with this decision but it is what it is.. doesn’t he have a stake in the club?

He will bring depth of quality in the midfield park.. He will give competitive to the other players.. We have more games next season and we need to remain competitive.. im hoping that a strong Pre season will have him raring to go

His development this season has been absolute mind blowing. The fact that he is our player and we haven't spent any money in signing him is an absolute credit to our Academy. He has all the fundamentals to be a top midfielder and we can build around him. He has just turned 22 but for most part of the season as a 21 year old he has been racking up the stats below.. Those are ridiculous numbers for a player that young.. The kid is special and he will continue to get better and fill out as his career progresses. It is important that we not only keep hold of him but we build around him because he is our future captain.

This is my approach with this years summer transfer window. If it happens it happens..
