I feel very optimistic and assured with RDM in charge. Why is it hard to accept that some of these bad eggs are going to stick with us. I don't know what to expect from this squad but whoever is in the starting 11 i will be supporting them 100% if they show required commitment.

Would be a big mistake if we sold him to a rival. He has goals at this level. i would rather keep him than gabby

I still believe we need 4-5 players before the season starts. We will need to get 2 wingers, a right back, and two strikers. I also wouldn't mind another experienced championship central midfielder. We are 3 weeks away from the opening game, i am beginning to worry.

It's a shame, however if we achieve what Xia has planned for us, then won't be looking back at this moment with any regret..

It's going to be a tough season and we need some game changers in our team, i.e alan judge, ross mccormack ect. Sheff Weds are going to be very tough in the opening game, very tough, especially with the addition of Steven Fletcher, we could have done with him in our side. It may take us or month or so to find our rhythm this season.

I created a topic a few months ago in April, suggesting that Johan Gudmundsson would be a great fit for us, especially with a player like Gestede in our squad. A player with his ability and stats should be nowhere near league 1 next season. Very limited player, physically ready for the Championship, if he sorts his attitude out i can see him being an asset for us in next season

He can add some real character and composure to our squad. He knows what Villa is about so whatever happened last season in the dressing room won't happen this season. He does command respect amongst the players. Give him a one year deal, let him finish his career on a high (If we get promoted) then add him to our coaching team.

Seems like the kind of character we need at our club! more of the same RDM!!

So why write that bit then?

There has to be a balance imo, were going to have players that we don't want at our club at the start of the season. This could be Richards, Hutton or Bacuna.

I think the website looks great, looks more modern and more adjustable in this current era. The website will be easily accessible on phones and tablets furthermore it has links to social media. I reckon there will be a lot more improvements made but this is a good start.

Although i think Bamford would be a good signing, i think that we should really look into the market, because for 10 million we could get 3 really good players for our squad. Looking at teams like Southampton, Leicester, West Ham and even teams like Brighton and Middlesborough they have been pretty shrewd in the transfer market in recent years. I think Di Matteo will surprise a few in this transfer market, i reckon that he and his team will have players on their list that the media will not be that aware of tbh. There are players from league 1, even in the lower european leagues that could really enhance our squad and i would not be surprised RDM already has an idea of what he wants. Crazy to think that we could have a totally different set of players this time next month.

If he is crafty and he does not have the money that he said he has then i hope he doesn't pass the due diligence test. If he is is not crafty and has the money then i'm sure he will pass. The last thing we need is someone coming in with false promises and messing up our club

You are clearly showcasing your lack of knowledge on football, it is not that simple furthermore your forgetting the key fundamentals such as creating a good team spirit, a cohesive understanding of how the each other plays, understanding the tactics ect. The championship is not a league where a team can buy their way out, teams that have done this have had a structure in place. We lack a structure. Things do not work themselves out because money has been spent on supposedly quality players..

It's going to be a tough season ahead.

And how would we replace him? We need to keep our core otherwise we will not even make it to the play offs..
