  1. he deffo won't be joining us after that goal EDIT it's not his goal
  2. I genuinely believe that we won't fall short with Tony as our chairman, He is passionate, has the funds and has a no nonsense approach. I loved how he reacted after the Luton game, he reacted like a villa fan, there was no messing about he said those players are not worth giving another chance. I am pretty certain that he will stick to that as well. The gap between the club & supporters are narrowing and he has played a big role in that already. BTW I would love for us to return to the striped claret and blue kit once we arrive back to the PL, it would signal a new but traditional Aston Villa.
  3. Won't be a walk in a park.. This team has goals in them, there defence is poor, which could work in our favor.
  4. Would there be much better defensive partnerships than Chester and Elphick in the the championship? Elphick would do the nitty and gritty, Chester would be the one to sweep up the mess, As Doug said he has high intelligence as a defender, so i reckon he could slot in pretty quickly with Elphick and get the basics right.
  5. He has been a poor signing for us, he has been synonymous with our hiccups and poor performances for years. He has performed terribly more than good. He needs to move on.
  6. Seeing these players is painful and deflating, i grew up watching players like Taylor, Southgate and Dion Dublin, real men and leaders and now we have these half hearted players. MON was the best Manager we have had since Gregory, although he wasted a lot of money, he brought characters into and men into our team. I just hope that we are in transition and that this will become part of a success story of how far we have come from this..
  7. I think RDM has that ruthless streak. And i think that will show in the coming weeks. He attempted to give some of the players an opportunity and they proved what most of us have been saying, now he knows what he wants and who he doesn't. I would like to think this regime is a lot different to the previous ones. Thankfully were in a league where were able to make such drastic changes. I'd rather this happen in the Championship that the Premier due to the quality and prices of players.
  8. He has to be one of the players Xia was referring to
  9. He's toxic to our club, I would go as far as saying that he is does not seem interested in playing football. A player of his stature would have already tried to seek several moves away yet he's content with being a bit part player and putting in awful performances. I dislike the way he defends, never seen a player run away from a player during an opposition attack as much as Micah. He's not premier league quality or even top half Championship quality.
  10. If he's good enough for Sheff Weds then he's good enough for us
  11. I'd rather have Chester than Okore & Richards. Hopefully we can get this done before Saturday
  12. This is not based on my opinion, i'm just highlighting another professional footballers opinion. I'm up for the signing tbh
  13. A friend of mine played against him 2 weeks ago, he said that he's average and isn't anything special. Doesn't understand why were paying 8m for him
  14. We need a group of model professional players and he is one of them. Pretty concerned about his height though himself and Elphick are similar heights. But i guess if he has a good leap then it shouldn't be a problem
  15. Well what's the point of supporting our team if he starts then? Backwards mentality.. How can we expect our team to perform well when despite his hard work and desire he going to get booed or abused?
  16. He really would, A fit Adama is the difference between us a promotion, couple with an enforcer and creative midfielder.
  17. I would love him to score a few because until he does anything significant the fans are going to be against him. It's a shame because he showed a lot more willingness and desire today than he did last season..
  18. What i don't understand is why was he so good for Forest. Maybe its to early in the season? Maybe our system does not compliment the way he play? Didn't he play in the holding role in a diamond formation for N'Forest?
  19. I thought he did well. Bacuna's problem is that he does not have a set position, so he lacks discipline. He worked hard, made some decent tackles and gave Hutton the opportunity to create.
  20. Top signing, Impressed with his leadership, corners and he got himself in a very good position. Hopefully he will settle soon. I would have him as a vice-captain
  21. Very underwhelming, i think his time is up now for Villa. Would have a good career somewhere else.
  22. No it wasn't He was holding his hamstring and he is lacking match fitness. Would you have kept him on and risked a potential injury?
  23. He didn't do too much wrong today, if Gollini never made that error it would be a different story. Our players looked in good condition, they were pressing throughout the game, there is A LOT more fight in our team. The midfield is just lacking quality and this will be amended. It's tough a job but RDM knows what he is doing, we need to give him time.
