    Watkins disallowed goal looked onside from the parallel angle but they chose to use the camera angle from the goal line. Why, as this clearly gave a distorted view ?

    Problem with playing high line is linesmen are not giving obvious initial offsides and let play develop. Villa have to win ball back and progress play from deep. Or play is allowed to develop giving them momentum. Put the effin flag up! Or have these rule changes caused this ridiculous situation?

    If he’s up for it we should play him. Paqueta at West Ham is in far more trouble and looks guilty as sin but he’s playing out of his skin.

    Strong rumours that he’s broken his 3rd metatarsal. Wasn’t detected at the time just his 4th and 5th . Three to ten weeks recovery depending on severity.Scandalous if true! What are the medical team doing? That’s what’s being reported on H&V site

    Don’t see any of our outstanding academy players pulling up any trees at their new clubs do we? Maybe their not as good as we thought or just not ready for the PL yet. Maybe when they are good enough if they ever are we’ll bring them back. Maybe that’s the plan? For where we want to be we need players ready now not in a couple of years!

    The most amazing thing about his performance was it was on the back of a pathetic yellow card after six minutes. It was shoulder to shoulder and that dwarf Gilmore grabbed his head. One of the best 3 midfielders in the PL. Hope he has a big clause in his contract

    Jeez. Talk about taking things out of context. Jacob probably meant ‘ look at the turnout’ for possible qualification to the third tier European competition, imagine what it would be like for Champions League! However fan’s are happy to jump on any miss interpretation and beat him or the club with. This lad has more affiliation with the club than most of us. He’s born and bred Villa and been with the club since a kid . For God’s sake give the lad a break

    The stand alone lion, as on Unai’s suit jacket with Aston Villa above and 1874 below. No star! I think that’s as iconic as we can get and we can just use the lion on it’s own as well.

    Juventus already sniffing around and using the press to do their dirty work. Another disgusting club along with Barcelona, Chelsea, Man Utd etc who should all be bankrupt. They use agents and the press to unsettle players they are interested in.

    Once this lad gets up to speed he is going to be exceptional. Playing just off the striker with freedom to roam he will offer the X factor. Him and Diaby can be game changer’s.

    As a member who lives in Ireland, I manage to get over to between 5 to 8 games a season. This is ideal for me as the biggest pain is getting away from the ground after games. To be able to go to the ground early and have a good drink with food and straight after the game is something I’ve been wanting for years. I know regular fans not as financially comfortable as others will be up in arms but the club needs to bring money in now if we want to keep up. Surely once the Warehouse is built this will accommodate fans who don’t want the corporate experience. The club really should of improved the present service available in the concourse’s before announcing this though.

    Watkins definitely got a touch on the ball first, Anderson then gets a touch but not strong enough to divert the ball away from Watkins, who he then cleans out. Exactly what the ref was telling VAR.Penalty!

    Think we’re done for this window. Maybe the rumours around Tammy Abraham were true and we will sign him in January. I think he’s due back late November.

    Our best player! So cool and collected £15m was a steal, surely Brazil must play him. He oozes class.

    As people have said this is a glorified loan which allows us more wriggle room with FFP. We can purchase a player that is ready for the first team now and if Ramsey develops well enough at Burnley buy him back. That’s a clever way to circumnavigate FFP restrictions and strengthen the first team immediately in the area’s we need.

    Torres and Doku would absolutely transform this team. Bailey flatters to deceive and Watkins simply isn’t clinical enough for a CL chasing team.

    Coutinho and Bailey should be moved on asap. The drop off in quality when they came on was alarming. Shift Bailey and replace with Doku. Loan out Archer and try for Torres.

    Digne, Dendonker and Chambers are all very good players who would hold down a place in most Premier League teams. We have to accept it is a squad game now and these players have never let us down.
