We aren't. The gap between us and the teams in the final 8 of the CL isn't as big as people think. However when you throw in a 38 game premier league season, league cup, FA cup and CL football then the workload really starts to affect a team like ours with poor squad depth. Also we will be trying to compete for a CL place in the premier league again next season, which will be very difficult. Much harder than this season.

The assumption has to be that this hedge fund bought the club in order to acquire land and make a profit from the residential/ commercial development. But hopefully it's another Gillette and Hicks case of clueless American owners.

They are similar to man city. Lots of slow patient passing that goes nowhere and creates very few chances.

Well placed sources said that Bayern approached him a few weeks ago and that was one of the main reasons his contract extension by one year was announced. I don't think he will be leaving anytime soon. He has total control at villa, he won't get that anywhere better.

The UN is just way for countries politicians to pretend they are doing something or to deflect difficult questions. That's it's only purpose. Russia, North Korea, Iran should all be removed from the UN, Olympics and any other organisation of any note and made international pariah states. Of course that won't happen, but it should.

After a year out his value would be at an all time low. We will have to keep him for next season, nobody will buy him after being so badly injured.

All fans have this mythical idea that the youth team graduates are far better than they are. Unai knows the players much better than us. If the younger players were good enough they would be in the team. There's a reason they aren't. He's playing our best team in pretty much every game because that's the best way to achieve our aims. He knows the players are tired, that's because of all the injuries. Loads of people on here saying play the kids will be the same people blasting them and saying they aren't ready if they did start a game.

Moyes wasn't going to last there despite the European cup win. West ham fans have some deluded notion that they're the Brazil of English football. They probably want big ange mate or Kevin Keegan as manager.

No chance we are going to play any youngsters in an away European semi final where we are 2 goals down. He will play our First XI in this.

I don't think he's been 100% for a few weeks. Him and pau are definitely managing injuries.
