Clear we needed reinforcements before todays game to tighten up the backline and get us a real character in the midfield but Lerner has not pulled out his finger this stinks of relegation and it is upsetting. The blame is soley down to lerner he has the money and does not want to spend. To be fair he has admitted he is no football expert - the logical thing to do then would be to appoint a CEO who is - but he hasn't done this. There is no strategy other than a misguided belief that a good youth team = a good premier team and the desire not to pay high wages. He in my eyes wants to take us down, where he can get rid of high earners easier (because if we sell all the crown jewels, he can see it will cause trouble) so we go down, get rid, he takes the 15m for two years, sells up and we are left rotting. So he can give £5million to a shitty gallery that would be OK without his 'generosity' yet can't scrape £5million together to try and save this club from inevitable relegation thus landing us further into the shit.
