    He gave MON free reign to sign any players he wanted. He reneged on that suicidal deal just before the start of the season allowing/causing MON to walk and subsequently successfully sue the club. He appointed Houllier who was past his sell by date with a history of health issues and who had been semi-retired for years. He appointed Alex McLeish and gave him a remit to reduce wages almost causing us to get relegated and gutting our squad in the process. He appointed Paul Lambert and won't back him in the transfer market to plug alarming holes in our defence and midfield when relegation is staring us in the face.

    I need a support group. I remember the last time we got relegated but it strangely didn't affect me as badly. I think it was obvious to me from very early in that season but this team now looks the same to me. Dead men walking. The difference this time is that we have so much more to lose and a club of our size will not have it as easy as the last time. Look at Leeds.

    We have left it too late. There is a whiff of death about us this season. No decent quality would come to this club now. Lerner is to blame and Lambert too for not walking when lerner shut his purse.

    Why would Dale Stephens leave one championship standard team to come to another. We might even sink straight down to League 1 because we are simply dysfunctional as a club at this stage.

    Even if Lerner decided to give Lambert £100m in the morning, one look at the league table will tell any prospective player that it would be career suicide to come here. James Chester is getting promoted with Hull. He'd look like a proper tit to come here instead and have another year in the championship to look forward to while his current teammates are playing premiership football next season.

    We are so poor it is embarrassing. Southampton look to have about four or five extra men on the park. They have so much time on the ball and yet when we have possession it is always under severe pressure.

    Have we any lads in the reserves with a bit of physical presence? Johnson perhaps. I wouldn't care if they don't have much football in them, they just need to be able to get stuck in.
