fightoffyour Posted October 29, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted October 29, 2012 trouble is that 9 games in translates as more than a quarter of the season I stopped reading after that.
pacbuddies
What do you expect with the amount of managerial changes we've had recently? It's not an excuse. I expect transition not to last for 3 seasons. Not too much to ask surely!
CI
Well after Sunderland it will more than likely be 10games 6 points That's then over a qtr of a season
Big_John_10
We're in transition yet again because we have a foolish man in charge of our football club.
AvfcRigo82
Oh no, the transition police!! This is the 3rd season of this lame excuse now. ...and a third manager so no excuse just fact.
Mantis
Well after Sunderland it will more than likely be 10games 6 points That's then over a qtr of a season The Sunderland game can't be written off as an automatic loss. They're not that good. I expect transition not to last for 3 seasons. Not too much to ask surely! Over the past 4 seasons (so 09/10, 10/11, 11/12 and 12/13) we've had 4 different managers, with two caretaker managers having brief spells during 10/11. Really, what do you expect? pacbuddies
...and a third manager so no excuse just fact. The number of managers is the fact (and even that could be debated if caretakers are included) not the situation of transition. That is an 'Excuse'. Mantis
Mantis do you not think MON will have them totally pumped to twist the knife People said this last time we played them and they were pretty poor. I expect transition not to last for 3 seasons. Not too much to ask surely! I saw it the first time, and I'm saying with the amount of change we've change we've had recently it's unavoidable. Mantis
Yes, I know what transition means thanks. Number 1 sums up the situation at Villa perfectly, given that we've been jumping from one manager to another for years. It's not an excuse. Mantis
I think that Sunderland game has got draw written all over it. I agree. I think it'll either be 0-0, 1-1 or 1-0 either way.
villa89
Mantis do you not think MON will have them totally pumped to twist the knife Does it matter? They're still a shite side just like us, no way could you think either side is a dead cert. to get the win.
briny_ear
"Transition" usually implies some sort of structured, planned or organic change. I'm not convinced that's what we have at the Villa. Continued decline and failure to check it isn't really transition.
Morpheus
Depending on which team Lambert plays i fancy us to nick all three points. Holman should be dropped. No end product and a very limited footballer. He should be a squad member and no more than that! I'd rather see Herd playing instead with a five in midfield and Benteke up front on his own. N'Zogbia and Ireland also have to play and then stick with the same feckin team bar injuries until we can sign some decent players in January. The pro Lambert brigade are all saying that the new players need time to gel but if Lambert keeps changing the team how are they going to gel? AVFCforever1991
Holman should be dropped. No end product and a very limited footballer. He passed it to Benteke for the opening goal against Norwich. Great vision. So that is a ridiculous thing to say.
