CI
Like I say depends what damage was done and just how over the limit he was Prison is not out of the question
ClarrieBlue
It will be on camera, most of the M1 is under surveillance, so they'll be able to see how fast he was going. Let's hope the vehicle is taxed and he has insurance because the list of misdemeanours could be lengthy.
AVFCChis
We don't even know if he was driving yet do we?
CI
The report suggests he was, but yeah, maybe it was his mate?
AVFCChis
The story is about Bannan because he is a Premier League footballer, the other lad plays lower league football. We can only presume the journalist knows nothing more than the quotes in the article. The rest is pure speculation, and talking about prison sentences is just ridiculous. villa4europe
What a little prick, so out celebrating on the lash after another class performance Is he looking at a stretch inside for this ? bit over the top i went out on the lash saturday night too but i wouldnt describe that as celebrating... the article isnt exactly concrete either, everyone involved in an accident at 5.30am will be on suspicion of drink driving and theres pretty much no chance of him going to jail unless he was absolutely smashed, did you see danny simpsons defence for speeding last week? wow (thankfully he didnt get away with it for once)
CI
Yeah probably was a bit over the top Innocent until proven guilty n all that No further comment from me until we know the actual facts The story could be wildly spun or fabricated for all we know
YankeeinMadrid
A few months ago I saw him out at Mechu and he was pissed, belligerent and starting fights with people...punching his friends, etc. There were half a dozen teammates there who were NOT out of control or drunk like him. I said it way back then...he seems like a prick. He obviously doesn't have much of a brain because ALL VILLA PLAYERS are provided with a FREE car service to pick them up and drive them ANYWHERE. Furthermore, there is a confidentiality policy...so the team cannot find out who uses the service. Still need to gather all the facts, but I'm not surprised. briny_ear
I wonder how many people on here have driven home in the morning after a heavy night and been over the limit? Not quite sure how that would make his - alleged - offence any better? Shillzz
Let's just wait and see what comes of this before we start criticising one of our brighter talents too much.
Shillzz
For what it's worth, Kristian Walsh, a liverpudlain hack who works for Sky Sports has just tweeted that he's innocent.
Robbie09
I seem to remember wee Barry got into a little trouble whilst on loan at Blackpool !
Woodytom
It sounds pretty obvious to me that the driver of that car had been drinking. Any passenger is also a dick!
Seat68
The other lad is James Collins Jr, former Villa player, a cracking former Villa player that we sold to Shrewsbury Town and who has been doing great things there.
Woodytom
Shrewsbury Town and who has been doing great things there. Ahhhhhhh shit!! Really missed out then
Seat68
I was merely pointing out that one of our youngsters is doing ok in league 2, not that he was a loss to our first team. Adding a bit of flesh to "a passenger".
GarethRDR
I was merely pointing out that one of our youngsters is doing ok in league 2 But not doing so well on the M1, it seems.

ALL.IV.1
I just hope the other lad was sat in the back, McLeish would go mad if he knew there was two up front.
