The New Condem Government

BMC merged with British Leyland and was closed down in 1986... 4 years before she was out of office.

Unfortunately the point was concerning BMW, who bought the BAe BMW shares in 94.
Oh oh oh! Whose the biggest word removed, Thatcher or Major? Can I say both! Pleasssseee?

Do you value the NHS? Do you mind it being sold off in sweetheart deals for ruthless profiteers? No? Don't vote Green then. I want the NHS run by people who value it and want it to work for my benefit. That's the kind of extremist politics I like!

Do you mind our Royal Mail being sold on the cheap to a 'select few' who made a huge profit at our expense? Does that bother you? No? Don't vote Green then. It does bother me, because I'd like any wealth we work hard to create coming back to us, our schools and hospitals not going into the pockets of the 'select few'. But that's just me, I'm an extremist - I vote Green. I couldn't give a **** about the Romanians - I'm crazy.

What people need to realise and sharpish is that the majority of people who vote for UKIP are neither racist or stupid.  Labelling them as such, with the main parties believing it, is just playing into Farage's hands entirely.  Very few people would admit in public to "not wanting to live next to Romanians" but the polling booth is private, and for lots of people, the massive influx of people from the EU has had an effect on their lives, whether directly or indirectly.  And the free movment of people is a policy that absolutely nobody has ever had the chance to vote on.  It's maybe unpalatable, but they're popular for a reason, and the mainstream parties need to get to grip with that, because one or the other, or both, are going to suffer in the General Election because of it.

People keep saying this the majority of people who vote for UKIP are neither racist or stupid. or the opposite (that they are racist and or stupid) - But it's just generalising, with no evidence either way. Definitely some of them are racist, definitely many are stupid. many are probably neither, but no one knows the figures, so no one can be sure.

When they interview kippers in the media, some of them, most even, vote for them because they don't like any of the tories or Labours or libdems, so they (seem to) think "what the heck, i'll vote for beer and fags man. It's not like they say they agree with their policies.....unless it's the one on immigration.

They're obsessed with it, the UKIPs.

In the europe vote, how can anyone of sound mind vote for a party whose MEPs basically refuse to do any work and just pick up their wages and expenses for doing eff all?. Who on the scarce times they do vote in the European parliament, tend to vote against Britains interests. But no one looks at that. What a mess.

I'd welcome them. Worked with two Romanian chefs years ago, they were great.

When I think about it, the best people I work with / have worked with are foreign. Hungarian, Indian, Romanian, Swedish, Belgian, Hong Konger, Chinese, American, Italian, South African, Australian, the list goes on.

Anyway. Supposing some dark forces at work put UKIP into a position where they could stop immigration, what then for all of the immigrants who already live here? Do they all then get deported?

Don't care for Green's transport policies though...

I do. But then I don't drive an American gas-guzzler.

I don't even have a car and I don't like the Green's transport policy...

A 1.8 Focus would get hammered too.

OK, so I'll get an electric Smart or whatever. Or get the bus. Because if public transport were publicly owned, and funded and managed correctly, I'd be happy to use it a lot more.

Apart from the 'reducing length of journeys' guff (sounds fine, but is unrealistic), their transport policy is OK.

Polluters pay? Encouraging public transport and cleaner technologies? I'm fine with that.

Re-nationalise the railways. Scrap HS2. Both very good ideas IMO.

Out of the Lib Dems, Labour, the Conservatives and UKIP. I probably prefer UKIP's transport policy.

They haven't got one.

The Ukip leader said all the party's policies were under review and he would not commit to new ones until after the European elections in May.

Their last manifesto was also described by Farage as drivel (link to LBC radio clip)

Though that last one, the drivel one, said  they wanted to introduce three high-speed lines linking London to the Midlands, northern England and Birmingham. 3 HS2s basically. Nutters.

The Greens would put up fuel duty, road tax, lower speed limits, 'pedestrianisation', car purchase tax, off street parking levies, forced retaking of your driving test every 5 years, "impose safety and pollution standards on historic cars".

No thank you.
