True, but no doubt Usyk woukd have had him in the rematch.

Scant consolation for the 25 million quid, that Dubois  would’ve got as champion for the rematch

After taking a two and a half minute break for a perfectly legal blow on his midriff.

Fighters hate to be questioned in that way and there are big questions on whether he'd have gotten up from that - there are lots and lots of people that think Dubois should have been Champion right there.

Good for them, but he isn't. At the end of the day Usyk was lucky but Dubois just wasn't good enough. If he was he'd have jumped all over Usyk and not allowed him to recover. Instead he folded as soon as Usyk stepped on the gas.

Mike Tyson had Buster Douglas down for over 13 seconds before getting knocked out a round later. Shit happens.

In all fairness, he couldn’t jump all over him, because Usyk was bitching on the floor for the best part of three minutes.

It's not the first time in boxing, Tyson v Douglas, Fury v Wilder and Benn v Maclellan. It's not right, but there not going to change the outcome. Scandalous to call that a low blow.

He had 6 rounds left. I'm not arguing there has been an injustice but Dubois still could've won the fight. It wasn't as if it was in the last round with no more time remaining.

Absolutely, he had plenty of time to beat him twice, but the better fighter won on the night - the circumstances of that victory will stick on Usyk like a stain though..

100% agree, but on the other hand, why should the lad have to win the title twice? Like you say Douglas was down for 13 seconds this fella was on his arse for the best part of a bloody round

You get 5 minutes to recover from a low blow. Whether you use the allotted time is the corners/fighters decision. It's the same in the UFC I think for low or illegal blows.

Frank Warren says they’ll appeal the decision.

Warren and the Dubois camp will kick up a stink in the hope they can get their fighter more money.

In fairness, that might be welcomed by the Usyk camp - they know they can't beat Fury, they're miles off it - a rematch and a chance to right the wrong might be a good money-spinner for them while they fend off the inevitable.
