maqroll
Holy balls... he's signed for Philly. For absolutely no reason other than money. Jagr is dead to Pens fans. Wow. Of all teams....
choffer Posted August 16, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted August 16, 2011 Another sad day with the death of Rypien. Such a troubled guy, I guess it's no surprise (if the rumours are true) but still can't imagine how it must feel to be that low.

leviramsey Posted December 8, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted December 8, 2011 Bumping now that the 2011-12 season is about a third of the way in the books. How 'bout those Bruins? And what about the proposed new alignment? Just name the Central Conference the Norris, the Eastern Conference the Adams, the Atlantic the Patrick, and the Western the Smythe. Sureshot
Yeah... Phoenix are going to Quebec to make it 8/7, 8/7.
leviramsey Posted December 8, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted December 8, 2011 Not necessarily, because the realignment plan would do away with the East meets West (previously the Prince of Wales meets Clarence Campbell) format. The four conferences would be equal and not otherwise banded together, so that the two more eastern ones have 7 teams and the two more western ones have 8 teams is of no consequence. Basically, the Stanley Cup bracket would look something like this (home ice listed first): Series 1 (Adams semi): Adams 1 vs. Adams 4 Series 2 (Adams semi): Adams 2 vs. Adams 3 Series 3 (Patrick semi): Patrick 1 vs. Patrick 4 Series 4 (Patrick semi): Patrick 2 vs. Patrick 3 Series 5 (Norris semi): Norris 1 vs. Norris 4 Series 6 (Norris semi): Norris 2 vs. Norris 3 Series 7 (Smythe semi): Smythe 1 vs. Smythe 4 Series 8 (Smythe semi): Smythe 2 vs. Smythe 3 Series 9 (Adams finals): Series 1 vs. Series 2 Series 10 (Patrick finals): Series 3 vs. Series 4 Series 11 (Norris finals): Series 5 vs. Series 6 Series 12 (Smythe finals): Series 7 vs. Series 8 The champions of each conference are then crowned and seeded so that Series 13 (league semifinal): Champion 1 vs. Champion 4 Series 14 (league semifinal): Champion 2 vs. Champion 3 Series 15 (Stanley Cup finals): Series 13 vs. Series

Sureshot
Hockey football shirts. Some interesting ones on there, not a massive fan of the Pens ones, though. Caps vs Pens was selected for NBC's game tomorrow - nice free HD stream to watch, although 12:30 games are a bit weird - means I'll be watching at 9:30AM!
