VillaChris Posted December 5, 2020 Share Posted December 5, 2020 Football is all about front 3 players now, don't have to dominate much in games but just be clinical when the ball is played quickly up. Frustrating when you see how we played v West Ham and got nothing for combination of reasons and Man. We are certainly understocked upfront compared to pretty much every other prem team so that needs to change next month. Man. United have Cavani, Rashford, Greenwood and Marial who can all play CF so don't buy this argument we don't need many strikers as we just play one upfront. It's really just the home form. They've got incredible mentality away from home currently. 6/6 and won at some tough venues so could be on for 12 or 13 aways wins at this rate which should get them top 4. This will be our downfall. Wes - major injury, not played at this level and hasn’t looked up to it so far Watkins - not played at this level before, looks clinical but often goes missing (not all down to him) Keinan Davis - I’d honestly rather play one of our fringe midfielders up front of he was the only fit striker. Think in some games aswell Watkins would be more effective coming from wide aswell. Reminds me of people bigging up Rashford as CF not so long ago but his general finishing and hold up play isn't quite top class and he's found it more effective to cut in from left with more space and get shots in. Sometimes you can shoehorn players into certain positions like Jack as number 10 but he's shown in last year how good he can adapt to another forward position with ease.
