Why havent notts county been asked to pay for security? I mean if wrexham were not there last sesson they would have pribbably got 150 points and walked the league.

Not sure what your beef is with them. You dont acknowledge that they saved that club. Its just another way to criticise them.

We can hardly talk we had a massive advantage in the championship

Bizarre post. Not even sure what Notts County have to do with it since they don't play at Accrington until March.

There are other relative “money teams” in League Two - Wrexham are just much more dominant in that regard.

For example, Wrexham have spent £290k on transfers this season. The rest of League Two has spent £35k. That’s 1 team vs 23. It’s just not the same ballpark.

I don’t understand the repeated “what about Notts County” stuff. Why don’t you ask about Stockport too?

Certain people have bought into the fairytale and won't hear any word against the narrative they choose to believe.

Don't know if it's just the media/marketing spin or if it's because of who their owners are and they bizarrely see them as mates in some way.

They've done some good for Wrexham, that can't be denied. However they've also distorted the lower leagues and caused problems for clubs down there who really don't need it.

Will be very interesting to see if opinions change in a few year's when Wrexham are in the Championship signing top flight player's and getting shirt sponsors for top 6 money.

How have they caused problems for other clubs? You've got to look after your own business. If anyone's been chasing Wrexham it was at best futile and at worst down right stupid and they've only got themselves to blame.

Try it with this one change and it might make sense.

Although I expect it won't and the similarities will be discounted.

Nope.  Still don't understand how they've caused other clubs problems.

They bought a load of players and got promoted out of the division. You're taking like they've left a wave of devastation in their wake.

When one club spends more than the rest of the league put together how does that not destabilise the finances of the league?

But I'm done trying to talk to people about it as it doesn't register at all. Just going to sit back and watch

To be fair, I don't think they're disrupting the lower league model that much.  The simple reality is that other clubs just can't do what Wrexham are doing so they don't compete.  Let's not forget that Wrexham were able to pull together a side of League One and lower Championship level players in the National League!  No other side is attempting this - so I don't think there's much wider impact.  There would be if, say, 7 clubs were trying to muscle in but, due to the nature of promotion/relegation etc it's just not the case.  Clubs can't be risky down there whilst they can in the Premier League.

At the same time, they're definitely the lower league Man City equivalent (bar having nice owners).  They've got resource that no other side can compete with and they'll promote quickly off the back of that.

Well probably because they haven't distabilised the league.

They've got promoted from it and everyone else has carried on as normal.

If anything the other clubs are probably marginally better off because of increased interest in the league.

I bet if we were in the same division we would be fuming. Is it that much different than dropping Newcastle with new owners into the Premier League minus the crimes(though Green Lantern might be a crime to some)

Not really.

Firstly you're stuck in the same league as Newcastle and Man City so you have to live with them permanently rather than getting on with your own agenda whilst viewing them sailing through.

Secondly all Premier League clubs have their own substantial finances and compete accordingly with their own targets and aims. Sure they've made our aims more difficult but not distabilised us.

They probably have little effect on how Bournemouth or Crystal Palace go about their business.

Distabilising suggests a league is likely to collapse. That is not happening with The Vanarama or Premier League.

People need to put a lid on the hysterics.

Didn't we also spend loads more than most other teams when we were in the Championship?

We are allowed to…

We invented league football that the whole world enjoys…

For that reason alone, we should be able to do whatever we like

Look at the trail of destruction we left in our wake.

Championship is literally no longer viable as a functioning league because they all tried to keep up with us.

Obviously not completely true, but part of it is. Not our fault persay, but teams in the Championship want a piece of the sweet Premier League pie but can’t really get there due to the financial power of the relegated sides. The disparity is huge.

Well yeah. That's a whole different discussion.

But when all is said and done every team needs to cut their cloth accordingly. Ultimately any team that gets itself in trouble has only itself to blame for spending beyond their needs and bad management.

On the other hand good football management will Trump money as well

Yes… but you can see why other clubs would be unhappy with the gulf in spending power. Ipswich an example of good management (currently 2nd in the Championship), but the other 3 sides around them are the relegated clubs. Will Ipswich hold out for automatic promotion? Would they win the playoffs? Not impossible, but unlikely.

So you just end up with a relatively uncompetitive pyramid outside the top flight. If there’s a trickle down impact (parachute payments from Championship to League One etc) then clubs like Wrexham do start to impact the lower leagues.

Not at the moment, though. They’re just a bit disliked for their wealth.

They are mostly unhappy cos they wish it was them.
