Slightly different question. 

Only 13 non British and Irish took part in he opening weekend of the Premier League in 1992.

1] Peter Schmeichel - Man Utd

2] Andrei Kanchelskis - Man Utd

3] Eric Cantona - Leeds United

4] Ronnie Rosenthal - Liverpool

5] Hans Segers - Wimbledon

6] Jon Jensen - Arsenal

Craig Forrest of Ipswich Town then.  He was Canadian.
