privateer
and time to mature And how many of us have that degree of patience?! The maker of limoncello must mature before the limoncello can mature. That is the voice of the sage. Is that one of the sayings of Confucius? Like, "Husband who spend too long in the doghouse, eventually goes to the cathouse." leviramsey Posted July 5, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted July 5, 2009 Picked up a Samuel Adams Summer Mix 12-pack... and the first bottle I drew was one of the two bottles of Sam Adams Light... decent, I guess. This has the distinction of being the beer that really damaged the reputation of Samuel Adams a number of years ago. The ads that launched it probably played a part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7me3aYy_-A... a little bit too much aping of the Bud/Miller/Coors style. Since then they've integrated it into the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI_MLXruH2o...

bickster Posted July 5, 2009 Moderator Share Posted July 5, 2009 Magners on ice... again Why do people do that? Seriously I'm curious. Stuff a glass full of ice and then pour crap cider over it which only tastes nice because its been super-cooled, the cider over fizzes too and in days gone by people used to complain their beer was watered down, now people seem to want to actually water their own alcohol down, Its the same with the people who stick ice in white wine..................... I really can't understand the logic, it's got so bad that the trendy Magners bottles are now more expensive to buy than PREMIUM cider, single varietal specialist ciders are cheaper than Magners in the offy and the supermarket - its nuts Go and buy some Aspalls or Thatchers, drink something nice that you can just stick in the fridge to cool and save money! Sorry I'm ranting...............
