The following story is from the 23rd of December. Here Henri Lansbury will not win his fight to face Newcastle United, with Philippe Montanier confirming the influential midfielder is taking longer than hoped to recover from his hamstring problem. "Henri Lansbury will still be out for longer, he will be out for longer than we hoped. He will not be back for Newcastle now, which we are sorry about, as I am sure they were waiting to give him a friendly welcome," said head coach Montanier. Seems odd having a medical in dec and being sold a month later - what if he sustains a problem between the medical and being sold ? However vIlla transfers has been on the money all the way on deals and I'd take Rhodes ahead of ayew - if lansbury and hourihane are in then the creativity is much improved.
