Rugeley Villa
not into these but I heard this on the radio last week and I thought it was really good. Reminds me of something pink floyd would do. Edited June 17, 2017 by Rugeley Villa

magnkarl
I'm listening to Lorde's new album today. I particularly like Sober, she's going in the total other direction that people wanted her to go. It's turning into prog, good album for someone who's 20.

I consider progressive to cover the whole gamut of 'alternative' or 'underground' bands that came out of the mid-to-late 60s psychedelic scene. I include diverse styles in there, from the heavy to the folky, the jazzy to the bluesy, etc. By that token, I always considered Sabbath to be progressive. Prog I tend to apply to the bands that got going from about 1975 onwards, inspired by a subset of the progressive bands (Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, etc.)
