The Beat (although they didn't have Dave Wakeling singing), The Specials (minus Jerry Dammers), The Selecter (who also had Dave Barker, of Dave and Ansell Collins fame, with them), Madness, and probably the best live band out of the lot, Bad Manners. Always good fun seeing those bands, and they were my gateway into the authentic, original Jamaican music, where they found their inspiration.
