Popular Post GarethRDR
I'm looking forward to creating my always popular "Zombie Benoit and family" stable to play with online. Always goes down well.

Jay.P.A
First game I had on N64 was WWF War Zone. What a fantastic game that was. I just remember opening my NINTENDO SIXTY FOUUUURRRRRRRRRRR on xmas day, and playing War Zone for hours!
Stevo985 Posted September 25, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 25, 2014 Warzone was what got me properly into wrestling. I watched it here and there. But I loved Warzone so much I started watching Raw religiously
lapal_fan
I had it and got a multi-tap device for my ps1 meaning we could have 4 separate controllers into the PS1. It was for my birthday sleep over, I liked that game too. And Attitude, and the first Smackdown. Never really been into the wrestling though, I can watch it, but I find it cheesy and I hate the fact that you see wrestlers changing their expressions when they know they're on the titantron, Jericho and the Rock were the absolute worst for that. Stevo985 Posted September 25, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 25, 2014 Warzone and Attitude were great when they were out. but once you went back and played them after playing No Mercy/wrestlemania 2000/ smackdown they were pretty shite

Stevo985 Posted September 25, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 25, 2014 "sleepovers" were great for video games. A tag team iron man match played at about 2 in the morning that ended 27 all after an hour of wrasslin' was a particular highlight

Jay.P.A
Anyone remember the finishers on WarZone? The Rocks was left left up, left left up, B #Nostalgia
Stevo985 Posted September 25, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 25, 2014 Warzone was the one where they didn't even tell you the finishers wasn't it? You had to guess or get them off the internet.
villaajax
Or buy a printed guide The problem with the Acclaim games was the random combination of buttons to do a move, up, down, down, up triangle - piledriver
Stevo985 Posted September 25, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 25, 2014 YEah exactly. Which is what I meant about going back and playing them after you've played no mercy and smackdown. They're actually quite shit, didn't age well. Warzone is the first game I can remember that had a create a player feature. That was huge at the time.

villaajax
In Smackdown 2 you could give people fringes without having to give them hair so I made someone with a bald head and a long fringe, so it just looked like he had really long eyebrows hanging over his face. I think his name was Mr. Eyebrows
Wainy316
WCW/NWO Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy were effectively the same game. The game engine was great and the best for simulating the flow and structure of a wrestling match. Still hasn't been bettered on that front imo. WCW Revenge was the game me and four mates ultimately geeked out on. We used to meet and play through our own booked Nitro's and Pay Per Views. Nobody could stop Wain's World Order. We even typed up a magazine for it on MS Word. Lame!
samjp26
Me and my mates used to play a game where you all start with a random wrestler each and every time you win, you get to pick another that you can use.
