  1. Sorry Richard, I usually agree with you on many things but on Lambert I am struggling to see the positives. 1 shot on target last night 2 points from 8 games 6 goals scored all season, the least in the Premier League and only just over half of what have been scored by 2 out of the 3 bottom three clubs. Bizarre substitutions. Issues that we saw on the pitch before he was appointed still not put right. I could go on. I cannot see what is going to change if he stays even with better backing he doesnt strike me as the person who can make the sort of change at our club the Graham Taylor did when he first came and I think it needs that kind of complete overhaul. Lerner has taken us down to this level while wasting millions but the only reason Lambert is in his third year is because Lerner is acting in his best interests and not the best interests of the club. What a fine custodian he is.................................
  2. I have a really bizarre issue on my Sky Router at home. Last night the power went off for less than a minute but came back on again and everything seemed fine, however I noticed that my phone couldnt connect to the wifi on the router. I would go to connect but them would just show it as saved. To cut a long story short I traced the problem down to if the Home PC was connected via ethernet then nothing could connect to it via wifi but as soon as the cable was unplugged or the connection disabled on the PC the wifi worked as normal. Anyone have any ideas?
  3. McLaren will need to collect as many points as possible next season and stand a better chance of doing that with Button in the seat. No reason why he should have to drive for peanuts either especially as Alonso has only gone there because the seat he wanted at Mercedez didn't become available.
  4. Just out of interest I had a look the other day at the trade in value for the Nexus 5 and was amazed how low it was. at most places it was down to two figures you will really struggle to get £100+ for it in really good condition.
  5. I have the Nexus 9 and I like it. Its a big upgrade from my nexus 7 2012 edition. I think most of the sniping was down to the price being so much higher than the Nexus 7, I got mine for £289.00 from Currys with an O2 Priority code but I think they have reduced the price by £10.00 and if you order online you can use a code to knock of an extra £20.00
  6. First issue with Lollipop on Nexus 5. When you open a link in Chrome it doesnt show as a tab that means you can go back to the previous site (the little number isnt there) unless you go into settings and turn the "Merge tabs and apps" off. Why would I want it on?
  7. Just got the update on my Nexus 5. Just appeared as always
  8. The Walking Dead has gone a bit of the boil but tonights episode might well improve it. Homeland had gone a bit predictable but then the last 10 minutes of last night was a bit WTF........in a good way.
  9. Both my kids love it and have now watched twice in the last 3-4 days, I found it all a little bit meh.
  10. Has anyone managed to get the phone to discover that there is an update ready, no matter how many times I get it to check it finds nothing and then at some point I will go to use the phone and it will suddenly announce there is an update ready.
  11. I guess there are 2 reasons I went down the Nexus road, firstly is its stock android and secondly is the speed of updates to the latest version. Stock android can be improved as can be seen by The Moto X additions and the camera isnt always what it should be when compared to other flagship devices. The speed of updates looks like it has improved massively with LG and Motorola being right on the case and get them out to users almost as quick if not quicker than Nexus handsets which begs the question of why would I want to buy a Nexus phone? Google have positioned it in the market up against the other big players and so will have to compete on more than just price. It will be very interesting to see how sales of the this Nexus go because of both price and size and how that might affect Googles thinking on the Nexus program in future.
  12. I expected progress from an awful season last year. We're averaging the same points per game and scoring less. Its not what I expected. He means results-wise though.Of the 5 teams outside last years' top 6 we have faced, we have lost only one of them and picked up 8 points. For where we finished, and how we did in similar situations last season, I'd say that's an improvement. I think the big problem this year though is that the "top 6" teams that we expected to get beat against has turned into the top 8 or 9? I mean, Southampton and Swansea are now teams added to that list who will beat us. The teams who are struggling in last seasons top 6, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton have all beat us too. When you setup to not lose 16-18 games in a 38 game season, but end up losing them anyway it puts a huge amount of pressure on the other games. I wish we were a bit more adventurous against the better teams, so what we might get beat badly? Who cares? If you don't have a go you dont win games. We should take the view of playing better teams as a free hit, if we lose it's expected, but at least try and win the game. Lambert this season more than any other has set us up similar to McLeish, we play to try and not lose rather than to win. It's not acceptable in my view. So under the mismanagement by both Lerner and Lambert we are now cannon fodder for the likes of Swansea and Southampton. Lerner should take the lions share of the blame but Lambert has bought badly (how many left backs in 3 years) and cannot get the best out of the players at his disposal. We will not score 20 goals this season if he remains in charge and that will surely mean relegation.
  13. I picked up the Nexus 9 this afternoon and it is currently doing the update. For anyone on O2 if you use the Priority Moments Android App you can save yourself £30.00 of the price
  14. OK Gents I am a bit of a crossroads as I have been waiting for the Nexus 9 to land but now its out the reviews on the whole are dissapointing so I am tempted to come back to Apple and grab an ipad mini 2 and possibly a 6 plus. Am I making a mistake?
  15. So 64gb is £150 cheaper than Iphone 6+
  16. off topic, that's what it is keeping this "on topic" then. I am going to remove the Android App for Google Inbox from both my Nexus 5 & 7 as it changes all the Categories from the standard and I think makes it much harder to keep track of your email. As an App they look very nice and the way they handle your email may well suit some people. - just doesnt work well for me.
  17. Well I thought it would but cannot see anywhere we it gets mentioned. If it appears I will ping one over.
  18. I had an invite for the new Google Inbox so have it on my Nexus 5. Not totally sold on it so far.
  19. Well PC World / Currys are now selling the Nexus 9 so will call in tomorrow and have a look if they have on on display. The reviews so far have been mixed at best. For half that price they are selling a Lenovo Tab S8 which has a 64bit Processor which is tempting as a short term replacement for my Nexus 7.
  20. How can someone of his experience sit and watch our matches, see the lack of movement and variety from our throw ins and do bugger all about it?
  21. Players generally haven't improved under him, he is never proactive with substitutions, never tries to win a game but makes changes to try and save games when we a losing. Sadly doesn't look like he knows how to change our fortunes on the pitch so for me he has to go.
  22. Not a fan of that circuit at all.
  23. Still not any mention of PC World or Carphone Warehouse selling the 6 or the 9 or any kind of timeframes. Google really have cocked this up big time for the UK users.
  24. Nor proactive enough by a long way. We were winning at 84 minutes and did nothing to protect that position.
  25. How many of those 7 teams did we give a real go at?
