Even though I hate the Holt signing, it would be difficult not to let Holt get a run out against his former team.

Don't think we're going to sign anyone from the PL. No resale value there. Maybe and up and comer from a foreign league that's more well known but I'd be surprised if we signed a known name from the PL if Benteke leaves.

Can't speak for what the US government will do but most folks here will do everything to avoid conflict where we put boots on the ground. Don't expect anything from the US militarily unless it pops off

He's made several of those passes. As recently a pass to Weimann against Newcastle. Weimann made the wrong choice on the cross and that's that. If there is a better player he should be replaced but we don't have one at the moment.

Norwich were demoralized already before that goal. Bacuna and Redmond start pretty equal but Bacuna just wants it more. Weimann also just breezes by whoever that is in the center with little fuss. Villa just wanted it more at that point.

And to be fair, our problems extended way beyond Bacuna during the Fulham game. Still our worst showing of the year imo.

Difference being it should be enjoyable when your team wins as opposed to it already sucks when your team loses. So when we win, the sentiment is, "Well, we won, BUT xyz sucks sucks sucks." I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt to just let it go and enjoy the win for a day or two instead of already coming up with the negatives. But with this I bow out of this thread. I've avoided it for a while as it usually runs in circles and I see things haven't changed

I think Russia will move for the Crimea and just call it a day there. It would be disadvantageous for them to try and take over Ukraine. Whether they should be allowed to just claim the Crimea is a whole other matter, but I hope they just stop there and we avoid WWIII

There's nothing that sinister about it. This forum is barely readable with the constant undertone of negativity and pessimism. Shame that it doesn't go away even when there's a win.

Just read through this thread. Plenty of people saying "15 minutes doesn't forgive all" or "Team is still shit for most of the game" or "Still going to get relegated"

His goal didn't impress me as much as tracking back Pilkington in the dying minutes or so. Pilkington probably had a foot on him and Bacuna just turned on the jets to beat him to the ball and clear it. That gives him the advantage over Lowton any day of the week. You have to have pace as a fullback or disregarding that, good positional sense like Bertrand.

You know he messes up a couple of times trying to pass it out of the back, but I'd rather have that than mindless hoofing all the time. Took the initiative several times from the back to pass it out and assisted Benteke's first goal. Love this guy.
